Chapter 266 - Lionheart vs. Orcs (12)

---

"------"

In the center of the city, the orc high khan Murka sensed the change in the battlefield through his skin.

Balbaza, Maghar, Skira--- Kran.

Black Orcs from all over the realm.

He had known them for hundreds of years, kin, apprentice, master.

"Hmph, looks like they've been enjoying themselves."

He can feel the afterglow of his kin.

It's disappointing that they were ultimately defeated by their old enemies, but if they were able to die as warriors, that's a satisfying outcome.

"Come, old foe. I am here."

A giant flash of light cut the sky. It was the High Khan, the one the orcs had hoped to fight for so long.

* * * * *

Unleashing the power of their gods, the Black Orcs charged in unison.

The sight of fighters laying down their lives in pursuit of the struggle is not an unfamiliar one.

It's just that whereas the Knights of the Lionheart are driven by protection, faith, and chivalry, the orcs have no faith, and are driven by their own struggle and honor.

The standards are certainly different, but it's that fierce fighting spirit that makes them strong.

"Die, King of the Tins. Your legend will end at our hands."

Throwing his life away, he blocks the Lionheart's sword and grabs him from behind, ignoring the severing of his companion's arm to bring his axe down.

Still, the sturdy Lionheart King is met with a barrage of Gokrok spells, explosive javelins, and enough firepower to melt a city.

It was an assault that even a Holy Knight could not withstand.

Holy Sword Unleashed.

-Kaaaaaaaah!!!

Starlight swirls.

The golden light concentrated in the Lionheart King's holy sword turned into a storm, lightly tearing apart the Black Orc sacrifice.

"You're going to block this king's sword with your life? That's a lot to ask."

Axes snapped, javelins snapped, spells snapped. The flesh of Black Orc warriors was torn to shreds by the storm that swirls around them by the force of the open holy sword, flies.

"Chiit---!"

The space where the Black Orc warriors' divine power and the holy sword's power intermingle is a kind of subspace. They stare at each other in the otherworldly realm that will swallow them up in an instant if their energy is depleted.

"Angor, Gulfang, Gruk! Go!"

Helkan warriors charge but Leon has no intention of arguing with them.

Holy Law

At that moment, the ground shakes and roots spring up.

"------?!"

Sharp tree roots erupted from the ground, impaling the orc fighters. A fury of nature that maximized the lethality of the roots, a far cry from the roots used by the Holy Knights of Demera.

There was more.

"You are in the sun. Set an example worthy of it."

Holy Law

A small sun spread out over the city and a flash of light poured from it.

The Sun of Judgment condemns those who dare to offend the Lionheart, as if to say that he will not forgive them.

"Take cover!"

The orc shamans failed to evade them. Even the defensive spells they had deployed with all their might melted in the face of the Tatar sun.

"You---!"

The burned and remaining Black Orcs charged in unison, explosive javelins blazing in front of their noses, aiming to resonate with the Lionheart King.

-Thwack, thwack, thwack, thwack!

Blast after blast. Even the Lionheart King's armor shook from the explosions, pushing him back.

"That's it, Lionheart!"

"It can't be."

Bultan was grabbed by the neck for a moment. The Lionheart King's grip was on the back of his neck and would not let go.

-Thud!

His neck snaps. Bultan looked around him, drowsy from the lack of attacks from his comrades, and saw....

"------!"

His companions pierced by the sun's rays, pierced by the roots of life, and swallowed by the mists of death.

In that brief moment, the Lionheart King had slain them all.

"I am your butcher, and I am the strongest of mankind. I must have seemed foolish to conserve my strength."

"Crunch, crunch--- crunch!"

How could a man be so strong?

Bultan choked, raised his axe, and struck down.

-BANG!

At the hollow sound of iron, Bultan realized that his axe could not even break the armor of the great Lionheart King.

"The Great Khan--- will kill you."

And with that, Bultan's life was gone. The last Black Orc warrior's breath was cut off──

"You finally made it out."

The dull mace swings toward Leon.

"Welcome, King of the Beasts!"

Leon's holy sword glowed with golden light.

* * * * *

The strongest man and the mightiest orc were fighters who could even defeat the Demon Lords, who had a long history of warfare in invading multiple dimensions, and were clearly greater than the gods themselves.

In other words, they are the greatest warriors of the dimension.

The greatest and most powerful beings of all time will finally clash.

Even though they are both monsters with infinite physical strength and can continue to fight for hundreds of years, they realize that they must give their all at the moment of conflict.

Unleashing the Battle Force.

Opening the Holy Sword.

They gave their all from the first blow.

───────■■■■■■■■■■■!!

The sound disappeared from the world as the ripples spread beyond the city and across the continent.

-Crazy--- What the hell was that?

Those who managed to restore the satellite system and observed the confrontation between the Lionheart Federation and the Orc Federation taking place on the continent were astonished.

Even from space, the waveforms were greater than the explosion of a nuclear weapon.

Cities were crushed as waves spread across continents, and shattered windows for hundreds of kilometers. The clouds that were pushed away never came back, and the satellites in low orbit were damaged.

Who can deny that this is the aftermath of a battle between human and orc cold weapons?

Such a ridiculous clash──

"Lionheart King!"

"You beast!"

-Bang!

A sound-draining clash of mace and sword.

A struggle.

Twisting.

Striking out.

Striking back.

It was a clash of pure white-knuckle warfare over and over and over again. Thirty-seven times in an instant, their armor shattered, their red and golden powers intertwined and disrupted in a clash the likes of which the world will never see again.

The city collapses.

"What?!"

"What the hell is going on?!"

Everyone on the battlefield, orc and human alike, feels the clash of primal cold weapons, extreme singularities at the pinnacle of life, crashing into each other, crushing continents.

-The building!

-Run! It's an earthquake!

-Oh, the aftermath!

The battle inland reaches the coastal cities, and the waves create a reverse tsunami, crashing into the ocean's interior.

The land, sea, and sky tremble.

Sharp swords and devastating maces wreak havoc.

-Gods.

-Worship------

It is only natural to fear and revere its power.

On the battlefield before the eyes of the world, the world must bow before these gods.

"Hahahahahaha! Good, good, good, you're the first one to withstand my mace this far since the Lord of Slaughter!"

"Of course I can withstand it. Indeed, you are said to be the king of beasts, but you are a little better than the evil species!"

They were victorious on a hellish battlefield where the heavens and earth shook as if they were being eaten.

Lord of Slaughter, Lord of Wisdom, Lords of Sloth, Lord of Chaos, Lord of Lust, Lord of Pleasure──the mightiest beings in the universe were finally defeated by these demigods.

And it was not for lack of power on the part of the Lords---it was for the beings they fought.

Humans and orcs have been killing and fighting each other for thousands, tens of thousands of years.

Against the physical prowess of the orcs, humans refined themselves and perfected the fighting creature known as the knight.

The Iron Knights, whose only endeavor is war, have gained the power of the gods and become superhuman, driving back the waves of green beasts.

In response, the orcs learned to also use the power of the gods.

Helkan the Fighter, Gokrok the Shaman, and Skunik the Hunter.

The three great orc gods willingly lend their power to this never-ending battle.

They learn from each other, mimic each other, and counter each other, growing endlessly stronger.

Knight of Realm, Orc Warriors.

Holy Knights, Orc Champions.

Lionhearts, Orc Warlords.

Each completes the other and in this endless competition and struggle to survive, a god was created.

"Die, beast! You are not forgiven for your existence!!"

Leon Dragonia Lionheart──

"Fuck you, tin can!"

Murka Balak──

They have become gods.

Invincible gods who have not been defeated.

* * * * *

"Dangerous ------"

The Archdemon of Wisdom and Exploration. The goblin Archdemon, who had fled the Second Korean War on the Korean Peninsula and landed on the continent, gritted his teeth as he watched the battle from a safe distance.

"Uh, what do we do?"

His minion, Raymond Shelman, did the same, both of them trembling at the terrifying battle unfolding before their eyes.

The two monsters had already surpassed even the power of the Demon Lords.

That was why they had invaded the place.

They wanted to destroy the world because it was the place where these monsters were cultivated.

But in the end, it was the demons who were defeated. They could not accept this defeat.

"Whoever survives--- the demons can't handle the survivors. The Old Ones knew it."

Hence------

"We launched the Twin Annihilation Project."

Gob activated 'some device' with Raymond.

Even as he started it, his sense of survival kept warning him of great danger.

* * * * *

-Quack, quack, quack!

A massive, ground-shattering crash echoes across the battlefield.

The sky was dyed crimson, and it seemed like another world.

"Crack!"

Rigardo, the warlord of the beast gods, pointed his sword at Vulcanus, who was trampling him.

"It's over!"

"Kulk---!"

The battle between Vulcanus and Rigardo lasted three days and three nights, and Rigardo was the one who was defeated.

"Kkkkk--- You're still damn strong, aren't you?"

"So you're even stronger than before, huh? I can't believe you're struggling like this."

For his treachery, Rigardo received the favor of the beast gods that Vulcanus deserved and after two hundred years of fighting in the demon realm he thought he could win this time, but he was wrong.

"Indeed, our clan's strongest monster."

"No!"

Vulcanus breathed out a puff of flame, adding more power to the foot that crushed Rigardo.

"I am an agent of Petos, the god of war and flame, and a Holy Knight, guardian of the Pantheon and Lionheart! My strength is formed because of that!"

"Hmph--- You've really gotten religious."

How did the King of Monsters end up as the hound of the gods?

I don't know whether to be impressed with the gods of the Temple of Ten Thousand Gods or the Lionheart King for taming such a monster.

"Still, it was a good fight, my friend, and now you can go."

"Well------"

Rigardo smirked at Vulcanus, unforgiving even to his old friend.

"You guys are too strong. Even Lionheart---orcs."

"Hmm?!"

Suddenly, Vulcanus leapt backwards, instinctively dodging something. He realized it was a giant beak that was about to strike him.

"No way---!"

The giant beak cracked open from nothingness, revealing the incarnation of the beast god known as the Black Eagle.

"The Ragnarok Plan. You and the orcs seem to think it's a massive demon gate, but it's a little different---"

Rigardo stared at the world from atop the Black Eagle's hulking form behind him.

And everyone, orcs and humans alike, sees them.

-What, what!

-An incarnation of the Beast God?

And now, at this moment, the unexplored gates that are open all over the world, all of them glowing red and transform into 'variable gates'.

"You! What have you done?"

"I made a deal with the demons, Vulcanus. No matter who wins, I and my clan's gods have nothing to gain."

Monsters pour out of the gates.

Demonic boars.

White wolves.

Iron bears.

Black eagles.

The beasts began to gnaw at everything in sight, as if they had made a promise.

"You Lionhearts and orcs have proven too dangerous, so we've had two hundred years to stockpile the numbers to wipe you out."

It was the demons' last insurance policy.

That's why they captured the Holy Knight, Georgic, and gave him to the Beast Gods.

The demons and the beast gods had been making deals for a very long time.

When the world of the Orcs and Lionheart were destroyed, the barbarians who served the Beast Gods were called upon the dimension the demons had given them.

And so the final insurance policy was triggered.

"I will begin my plan of twin annihilation. Please die. We are afraid of you, and the demons are afraid of you."

"Rigardo, you!"

The world is invaded by beasts.

Those who fought, those who stood by, and those who submitted.

[Kill, those hateful iron-clad creatures]

[Eat, all those affected by the hateful faith]

[Kill all the orcs, for they are the ones who hunt us]

[Block the sun and return to the era of barbarism.]

The powers of the beast gods let out savage roars.
