Chapter 68 - Chapter 68

"Come on man, the girl is smoking hot, men fall at her feet just to go out with her."

"Who is she seeing?"

"Well, no one really." He knew he put his foot into it this time by telling a lie, he saw the flash of anger in Ryan's eyes." "All I know is she went to dinner the other night with some dude."

"Who?" he asked, slamming his fist on his desk.

"I don't know, Nelly wouldn't tell me and I didn't ask. I better go home and change before I pick Nelly up."

"Robbie, give me the address and what time are you going to be there?"

"So you're coming to the club then?"

"Yes, I'll be there. It's time I started getting back out there." The only reason he wanted to go was to find out who Ria had gone out with. He may not be with her any longer but he still cared about her and wanted to make sure the guy wasn't some kind of creep.

Walking into the bar later that night he spotted Robbie and Nelly, he didn't see the blond that was with them. Walking over he calls out Robbie's name and they all turned to look his way. That was when he saw Ria and his heart dropped. It was then that he knew his brother had set him up and judging by the look on her face she too had been set up.

Ryan and Ria just stood there, saying nothing as they stared into each other's eyes.

"We'll go get the drinks, you guys wait here," Nelly said, pulling Robbie with her.

"Ryan," she said so quietly he couldn't hear her.

"You look good Ria." His hand reached up to touch one of her earrings, the ones he had bought her. "I knew these would look good on you."

He wanted to hate her, wanted to lash out and say things to hurt her but he couldn't. Seeing her again brought back all the feelings he had for her.

She swallowed the lump in her throat and backed away from him. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were going to be here."

"That's funny, I didn't know you were going to be here. But since you are, tell me who you've been seeing."

She shook her head. "I haven't been seeing anyone."

"Don't lie to me, Robbie told me."

"Well, he lied to you. But even if I were it's none of your business and I'm sure you've been kept busy with some of your many women."

As soon as he opened his mouth and spewed a bunch of lies he regretted it. "That's right, I've been fucking a different p**sy every night. But none of them was as sweet as yours. Let's go out back and let me f**k you up against the wall." He moved closer until she was trapped between him and the wall. He puts his hand on her leg and moves up. "What do you say, how about a quick f**k for old time sake."

Using all her strength she pushed him, raising her hand she slapped him hard across the face. "You're a disgusting pig, I hate you." Running past him she headed towards the exit.

"Where is she going?" Nelly snapped when she turned to Ryan.

"How the hell would I know?"

"What did you say to her?"

"I asked her to go outside so we could fuck," he said, with a smirk on his face, earning a slap from her also.

Nelly looks at Robbie. "I'm going to catch up with Ria and take her home, do something about your brother."

"Thanks a lot, now Nelly's mad at me," he said looking at Ryan.

"Then you shouldn't have set us up. You knew neither one of us would have come if we had known the other one was going to be here."

Robbie handed him his drink. "We were just trying to get you both to realize that you belong together. Why did you have to say what you did to her? you really hurt her. All you had to do was have one drink with her

Ryan swallowed the rest of his drink and handed the empty glass to Robbie. "I'm out of here and don't ever try a stunt like this again," he said and walked out. He drove home angry, hating himself for what he said to her and seeing the hurt in her eyes. Seeing and being so close to her his heart started pounding, the hole she left in his heart got a whole lot bigger.
