Nelly's eyes lit up and she looks at Ria. "That's a great idea. You need to get out of here and forget about everything for now."
"You two go ahead, I'm not hungry and I think I'll go lay down."
"I can't leave you," Nelly said, though wanting desperately to go with him.
"I insist, besides I'll be sleeping."
After ensuring them that she would be alright Robbie and Nelly left, leaving her alone with her thoughts. Just thinking about the look on Ryan's face when she left him broke her heart, leaning against the door she slid down to the floor, balling her eyes out.
She was using the laptop looking for apartments and jobs three hours later when Nelly returned, looking flushed. "Oh my God, you had s£x with Robbie, didn't you?"
With a huge grin on her face, she sat down across from Ria. "Yes, and it was amazing. We're going out again this weekend."
Shaking her head she looks at her friend. "Nelly, Robbie is like Ryan, he's a player and is going to end up hurting you. I really don't think it's a good idea for you to go out with him."
"That's exactly what I said to you about Ryan and you didn't listen to me."
Taking a deep breath she knew that Nelly had a point, and who was she to tell her who she could or couldn't go out with. "You're right, I'll stay out of it."
"You're not going to have a problem with me and Robbie, are you? I really like him and he likes me so he'll probably be here a lot."
"No, I'll be alright with it. With any luck, I'll have a place to live and a job soon. I've been busy writing out resumes and sending out applications for an apartments. So I should be out of your hair soon. I just need to get this mailed.
"I can mail them for you," Nelly said, holding out her hand."
"That alright, you've done enough for me already."
"Ria, I'm on my way out anyway so it's no trouble. Give them to me, I'll see they get into the mailbox."
"OK, thanks," she said, handing them to her.
Taking them Nelly stands up, grabs her purse, says goodbye and walks out. Walking down the hallway she goes over to the garbage. Holding the resumes and apartment applications she tore them up and dumped them into the bin. She couldn't let Ria move or take another job since she and Robbie planned on getting the two back together.
To keep busy while Nelly was out she cleaned the whole apartment and then started to prepare supper. It was the least she could do for staying at her place. She made shepherds pie and a salad. It was going to be awkward staying here with Robbie being around, reminding her of Ryan as they looked so much alike. Living with him she was able to save quite a bit of money so getting a nice place to live wouldn't be a problem and was looking forward to hearing from one of the landlords. A job might be harder, she did have a good recommendation from Mr. Milton but there was no way she was going to ask Ryan for one.
Nelly came waltzing in, carrying some bags of groceries and the two of them put everything away before sitting down to eat.
"I invited Robbie over tomorrow night to watch a movie, I hope you don't mind. We could always go out to the movies if it will make you uncomfortable."
"This is your home, I'm just a visitor and I'll be fine. I'll probably stay in my room reading anyways. So did you mailed my items?"
"What items?"
"My apartment applications and resumes?"
"Oh, oh them, yes, yes of course I did, all sent away."
