As they drew closer to William, the scent of cereal filled the air, a comforting aroma that blended with the lingering warmth from their earlier encounter. Lillith's question hung in the air for a moment, and William looked up from his cereal with a mischievous twinkle in his eye. He swallowed a spoonful of cereal and replied, "Well, ladies, I had a thought. How about we make this day even more exciting? Let's take separate cars for a little race to our destination. The winner gets to choose our first activity tonight. What do you think?"
Rika's eyes sparkled with enthusiasm at the idea, her competitive spirit fully embracing the challenge. "That sounds like a fun idea! I'm in." Lillith hesitated for a moment, glancing between Rika and William. She wasn't the competitive type, but the prospect of making today's adventure even more memorable was too enticing to resist. With a shy smile, she nodded. "Alright, why not?" William grinned, clearly delighted by their willingness to participate. "Fantastic! I'll meet you both outside. Get ready to rev those engines!"
With their decision made, they continued toward their respective cars, the thrill of a friendly race adding a new layer of excitement to the day ahead. William ran out, leaving his bowl of cereal milk where he was sitting. Lillith, seeing this, let out a sigh and proceeded to walk towards the sink to clean it. Rika, darling, can you put the luggage in the car? I will be out after I clean that bastard's dish." Rika flashed a mischievous smile and replied, "Sure, but only if you promise to let me take the victory lap once we get there." Lillith chuckled, agreed, and started to clean the dish, only to get distracted as her face turned bright red. "Wait, Rika, what kind of lap?" Rika grinned It doesn't matter; you already agreed." Before Lillith could respond, Rika had already walked out of the house.
Lillith shook her head, still blushing, and quickly finished cleaning the dish. She hurriedly followed Rika out to the car, trying to ignore the mischievous glint in her eyes. As she placed the luggage in the trunk, Lillith couldn't help but wonder what exactly Rika had in mind for this so-called victory lap. The anticipation mixed with a hint of nervousness made her heart race, but she couldn't deny the excitement that bubbled within her. With a deep breath, Lillith climbed into the car, ready for whatever.
