Next day in the morning, I wake up feeling all relax which is quite a rare thing because nightmares are very common to me and to be honest I am habitual to them so, not having them or waking up all relax really surprises me. Like as usual I start getting ready for my day at the university, after eating breakfast I walk out of the house wearing my shoes and with the bag pack on my shoulder for the university.
While traveling I put earphones on start listening to some happy cheerful songs and unintentionally, my body starts moving on the music. Well, I really tried to control myself but couldn't because I guess this what music does to me. After almost an hour I reach university, I put my earphones back in the bag and start moving towards the room, where my first lecture is going to talking place.
The moment I enter inside the room, I already found Asher sitting their doing something on her mobile but suddenly look up in my direction and smiled widely at me as if she was waiting for me only, in return I too smiled widely. While I am settling down beside her at the right side, she start speaking...
Asher: (Teasing tone) Someone is in good mood, smiling widely wow.
Me: (Feeling shy) Umm, nothing like that... it just..
Asher: (Laughed out a little and speak up dramatically) Now someone is all red, O my god.. I never knew Siya can blush too.
Me: (Rubbing the back of my neck and looking anywhere but not at her) Umm hey, its nothing like that.
Hearing, she started laughing out loud in a way as if, I have cracked up some kind of joke and here I am feeling heat on my cheeks...
Mind: (Teasing) Awww our shy baby.
Mind: (Mischievously, raising eyebrows at me) What happened babes, a little praising or teasing make you feel all shy?
Me: (Getting annoyed) Huhh you know, I don't know how to react in such situations or what to say.. umm may be I never learned to do so.
Mind: (Rolling his eyes at me) Yeah yeah I get it.
Asher: (Still laughing in between, squeeze my cheeks for seconds) You are so cute Siya.
Me: (Feeling her a touch I got alert a little bit initially, but soon got relaxed feeling warm and safe) Ohh okay.
Asher: (With somewhat knowing the fact tone) You know usually people say thank you over hearing such words but its okay, I guess you are not used to such words and by the way I am sorry for touching you, without asking you.
Me: Hey, no need to sorry. Honestly, I got startled a bit for few seconds but I felt some kind of warmth from your touch and it make me believe that you are not going to hurt me.
Asher: (Smiling) Wow, I am glad to hear this Siya.
In reply to this rather then saying anything to her in return, I just smiled and at this moment, our so called friends (Carissa and Savannah) enter inside the room laughing out loud and talking in between, here, seeing them we both take a deep breath. Soon they come and sit beside us, while doing they keep smiling and whenever they look our side we smile too.
After almost two minutes the lecturer inside the room, soon Michiko too enter inside the room and when she look at our side a frown appear on her face, with this expression on her face she walk on the last row seat then settled down there. Seeing this I just look down at my hands which are on my lap feeling sad, but feeling a touch on my sides I look up at Asher...
Asher: (With concerned filled looks, whispering) Are you okay?
Me: (Smiled in assurance) Yes. Why what happened?
Asher: (While Shrugging of her shoulders) The moment Michiko walk back to sit on her usual seat with frown on her face, you look down may be feeling defeated. I guess... umm that's why I ask.
Me: Ohh nothing as such but what made me feel sad at that moment is, Michiko doesn't like when when we have no empty seat here for her to sit.
Asher: Hmm I can understand but what we can do, we can't tell these two girls to not to sit here because they won't be liking it and if Michiko can come a little early then, she will be able to sit here.
Me Yeah right, well leave it and lets focus on the what the lecturer is saying.
In reply she just nod her head in positive, look ahead to and tried to focus whatever the lecturer is teaching us. Meanwhile my brain decided to being nosy...
Mind: (Sarcastically) Wow, how sweet you both are, no? Huhhh being concern about those two girls who never cared about you? All the time they move around you, keep sticking to you like a some cheap boy or stalker.
Me: (Getting frustrated) Will you please shut up, you just keep talking nonsense.
Mind: O please I stating a fact only, you both don't like them but just tolerating them.
Me: (Choose to ignore him) Well, keep talking. I am really not interested.
And I keep hearing him saying bad things about these two girls but I also try to keep my focus on what lecturer is teaching. Well, after a minute or two I give up on even trying so, I started to doodle in my notebook. Soon the lecture goes over, I close my notebook immediately before anyone else could see it and especially Asher because, she will definitely start questioning about it. The moment lecturer walk out of the room, students also walking out.
As usual we five start walking out of the room in the last, Asher walk in the front with Carissa and Savannah besides her and I walk with Michiko behind them though, we intentionally walk a little slow to have distance between us. While walking we keep listening the noises of others around us and remain silent, randomly thoughts start popping up inside my head...
wow, sometimes such silent moments are so much peaceful that I wish to live in those like this forever. Why is it that by being near to some people or being with them, you feel, as if they are there then there will be no sorrow, just a soulful peace will be there.
And while thinking about this, we reach to the next room where our second lecture is going to take place and unintentionally these thoughts of mine brought a smile on my face, which of course got noticed by Michiko...
Michiko: Why are you smiling Siya?
Me: Umm I am just thinking about something and that brought a smile on my face.
Unknowingly, we walk towards last row seats and soon settle down on the seats, don't know how and why it happened but it just like some kind trance state that I am doing all this well, I come to my senses when the lecturer enter inside the room and say good morning to us.
After this I look around the room, to know where Asher is sitting and once I found her, I caught her eyes already looking at me with unbelievable looks and then only I realises that for first time, I am not sitting with her and she doesn't like it at all. Though, I don't feel bad at all and may be it is because now I know Michiko is not alone, this make me feel at peace but seeing Asher like this, I raised my eyebrows in question. Well, as expected she ignored me then start looking in the front and I just took a deep breath.
Soon lecture start teaching but almost after five minutes I notice Michiko talking to someone but as far as I know there only we two are sitting here in the last row. However, to confirm my doubts (may be she is talking to girl sitting in front of her), I observe the whole situation for almost twenty minutes and I come to conclusion that,
she is talking to herself in way as if someone is sitting with her and they are having a proper person to person conversation.
Though, knowing what all is happening is not right and I should talk about it with her but I choose to ignore it because I don't want her to feel as if I am stalking her and also I don't want her to feel bad in any way. Soon second lecture also got over, after lecturer walking out of the room, other students walk out of the room too then Asher walk out of the room with Savannah & Asher and in the end as usual we walk out of the room.
This time when we start walking towards our next lecture room, Michiko initiate the conversation...
Michiko: Siya, I am going towards my other friends, I am going to attend this next lecture with them as they messaged me few minutes back only.
Me: Ohh okay no problem, see you at the lunch time bro.
After bidding me goodbye, she walk away from me and I literally run to catch up with Asher. However, when I reached there Carissa & Savannah first give me weird looks but later they give me a polite smile, on the other hand, Asher completely ignored me and keep walking. Well, I tried to talk to her one or two times but see just ignored me, just like this we reach inside the room to attend out third lecture.
Soon we four settled down on our seats together, the moment Carissa and Savannah settled down on the seats they got busied in talking and god knows what. Seeing this, I thought it to be the best opportunity to talk to her....
Me: (Almost whispering so, that only she could hear about it) Hey
Asher: (Playful yet taunting tone) Finally, someone remember that I am here too.
Me: (Feeling guilty) I am sorry I don't know how, but I just followed her there then I sit down with her there.
Asher: Hey, are you crazy, I was just kidding. I am just glad that you were sitting with her there, at least she got some company.
Me: Ohh yeah right but still the look you give me in the previous lecture plus the way you were ignoring me while walking... umm so I thought may be I did a mistake that's why I said sorry.
Asher: Bro, you do say sorry too much, may I know why? I mean in today's world who say sorry too much, I think you are too much innocent for this world. Please stop staying sorry so much.
Me: Ohh okay, I will definitely try.
Mind: When you have caused pain to so many people in your past, now only sorry comes out of your mouth, because it seems like you are seeking forgiveness from everyone till now.
At this moment the lecturer enter inside the room, so we stop talking and try to concentrate on what she is teaching and soon this lecture got over too. Once the lecturer walk out of the room, we also move out of the room and start walking towards the cafeteria as this is our lunch time. However, today for a change Michiko with her other friends walking ahead of us and this surprised me as well as Asher too and seeing her walking ahead of us, we look at each other once.
Just before Michiko step out of the halls, towards the park, out of sudden Asher stop walking and shout out her name..
Asher: Michiko!!
Michiko: (Stop walking then turn back and look at her) Yes Asher, what happened?
Asher: (Taking out lunch from her bag) Here, take your lunch. I made it for you especially.
Michiko: (Look at her friends once as if hinting them to stop for a second, then she walk towards us and smile widely while taking her lunch from Asher) Thank you so much, even though it was not needed but I am just quite happy that you did it so much for me. Thank you so so so much.
Asher: (Smiling) Huhh don't thank me too much, its perfectly fine. Just take it and enjoy.
Hearing this, Michiko just nod her head in understanding then she walk out and while putting her bag on her shoulder again Asher turn towards me then start speaking to me...
Asher: (Raising her eyebrows) Why are you smiling widely at me?
Me: (Still smiling) You know it was beautiful to see how you two bond perfectly, the whole process of giving and taking the lunch was very beautiful. The smile on Michiko's face was priceless.
Asher: (Nodding her head in affirmation) Yeah I like her smile too, that was very captivating. Well, let just go to cafeteria and eat some food because I am feeling very hungry plus those two girls must be waiting for us.
Me: (Rolling my eyes) Yeah right lets go.
After this we walk out to halls, then later enter inside the cafeteria and found them eating their lunch out, seeing this I look at Asher the speak up...
Me: (Sarcastically) See how much they are waiting for us.
Asher: (Defending) So what, it happens you know, they might be feeling very much hungry or may be they have something important to do after eating lunch.
Me: (Walking towards them)Yeah yeah right, now come lets have our lunch too. You know they must be waiting for us to eat the food.
Asher: Huhhh.
After this we eat our lunch with Savannah & Carissa, in between I tease her a little bit and she got irritated with it but I really enjoyed it. Just like this rest of the day passed by, sometime we do get the chance to be with Michiko and rest of the time Savannah & Carissa be with us. Once the last lecture got over we walk out of the university and later around five thirty in the evening I reach back home.
Fortunately, after reaching home no scene happened and rest of my evening passed smoothly, later I fall asleep around one thirty in the night getting tired.
