(First PoV)
I certainly didn't expect Koenji to be the one to buy the protagonist's seat. As for understanding why he did that, I didn't even try to think about it.
It will only waste my energy to try to understand his thinking.
And good luck to Ayanokoji for getting such a good neighbour.
Hehe~
Suzu giggled at Ayanokoji's situation.
Well, my new seat is comfortable.
On my left is Matsushita, on my right is Haruka.
On my front is Onodera, and on my back is... I forgot his name. Oka-Tani or something.
On my front-left is Kei, on my back left is Mii-chan.
On my back-right is Sato,
And on my front-right is Kushida.
Tch!
Well, Suzu is annoyed. I am too.
Anyway, this will allow me to keep a close eye on her, and make her snap everyday by annoying her.
Right now in the class, everyone was thinking about who was the one who gave me this idea of seat auctioning.
All eyes fell on Ayanokoji, making him to stare daggers at me.
"It's not Ayanokoji. Don't make him uncomfortable with all the stares."
I said so that I will not have any responsibility for people thinking that he is special.
As expected, Kushida started her attack,
"Horikita-san, then who was it?"
"Kushida-san, don't poke your nose where it doesn't belong."
I stared her down, and she backed off.
She will probably try to ruin my reputation again today as she was trying yesterday, that 'I didn't want to go shopping with my classmates'.
"I was just testing the rules of the school on someone's request, and thought that I will give some money to Ayanokoji as a participant of my experiment. There is no such thing as too much money, right, Chabashira-sensei?"
Still, I explained my reason to the class, that 'someone else' requested me to do this.
"Of course. Anyway, do you want to do any other experiment, or can I start teaching?"
Chabashira asked me. She must be thinking of ways to get me to lead the class in future. My stocks in her eyes must have risen.
Sigh. Teachers of the class are also like the grading. A 'defect' class also has a 'defect' teacher.
Chippi chippi chabba chabba lui lui lava lava~
Suzu started babbling random things, probably bored.
And I have surprisingly adjusted to her babbling in my head randomly.
Afterall, she is just a kid, who was born just yesterday.
"No. That's all I wanted to do for today. Thanks for allowing me to do this in your presence, sensei."
Chabashira just nodded, and started teaching.
Since it was technically the first day of classes, students weren't really THAT talkative.
All classes proceeded the same, discussing the syllabus of this semester, and starting the initial chapters.
I have gone through the syllabus of my textbooks, and I think I won't need to put much effort in English, Maths and Sciences.
The subjects that I will need to care about are Japanese and History.
Well, this will change next year, where I will have to pick a stream, and the level of the subjects will shoot up. Even if I was a university student, it isn't like I can solve the tough problems of 11th and 12th grade while having not touched them in years.
Finally, the break arrived, and I went to Ayanokoji's seat.
"Here is your bento, and special tea, as I promised."
I handed him a handmade bento with butter chicken, butter-potato parathas, some sweets, and a thermos filled with Chai.
Suzu helped!
'More like made a mess. You almost dropped sugar instead of salt'
I thought that having extra limbs will help me in making food faster, but I can't control her movements well while moving my own hands. She dropped utensils several times too.
Well, practice makes a symbiote perfect.
I could feel her pouting, and she turned silent. I could picture her making circles on an imaginary ground with her finger.
'You are cute~'
I am not talking to you!
She huffed, just like a tsundere.
Oh. This should have been expected.
Though, as I smiled at my internal conversation, it seems I caused a misunderstanding in the class. That I smiled at Ayanokoji.
"Thank you."
Ayanokoji thanked me, and I returned to my seat. I guess he will no longer be a green tea guy.
I do feel bad for him for his harsh life, but this is the farthest I will help him. Purely out of sympathy.
Now, we don't need to interact, since I have removed myself from his neighbourhood.
Good luck trying to make Koenji your tool.
"Horikita-san, are you perhaps dating Ayanokoji-kun?"
Kushida, poked her nose again.
This bitch!
I stopped Suzu from using her tentacles to 'prank' Kushida.
'There are cameras everywhere. You might get caught. Don't do it.'
Fine...
The bulging in my socks disappeared, and I mentally sighed.
Raising a symbiote is not easy...
I merely glanced at Kushida as I took my own bento.
"No. I am merely compensating him for selling off his protagonist's seat. Kushida-san, it seems that you are interested in him."
"E-eh!? No!"
She vehemently denied it, and I could hear sighs of relief from many boys.
"By the way, it seems like Hirata-san is pretty popular huh?"
I looked at Hirata and his harem. Diverting the conversation.
Honestly, I have no idea what is so charming about him to girls.
I started to eat my lunch, nodding along the conversations that floated around me, confirming that the boy I was with yesterday was my older brother.
Mumma's food tastes good!
Suzu was squealing as I ate the chicken. So she likes meat too huh?
Suddenly, an announcement was made about the club fair, and I initiated a conversation.
"By the way, which clubs are you all planning to join?"
I asked this question to Onodera, so that they don't think I am just nodding along for the sake of it.
Kei, Sato, Matsushita have already left with Hirata, so there weren't that many neighbours who remained seated.
"Swimming club."
Onodera answered immediately.
"Well, I haven't really decided..."
Haruka, who seems to be the same as me in being not too interested in conversing, said that she hasn't decided.
And it was the same case for others.
"What about you, Horikita-san?"
"I also haven't really decided."
I don't really want to join a club. Afterall, I want to spend more time in raising Suzu, and I can only do inside my room.
I want to be able to turn invisible for longer. And she has already started increasing my estrogen and height growth hormones. So it's best that I remain inside my room when I am 'excited'.
As the classes ended, I locked my arms with Matsushita and Onodera and went to the gymnasium, but Kushida still followed me.
I am getting tired of her antics.
Let's stab her with compass!
'Suzu, no violence.'
Please?
'No.'
