Chapter 15 - Kushida expelled

In the og LN, even after Horikita explaining her intent of not doing anything to Kushida, she still betrayed the class again and again.

In among-us exam, she told Ryuen that she is the VIP, leading him to figure out the identities of others as well. I don't remember exactly, but the class atleast lost 50-100 points due to that.

Then at the sports festival, she leaked everything to Ryuen, leading to a loss of 100 points, maybe. All to make Horikita kneel.

In question paper swap, she was outwitted by Horikita. Ayanokoji could have expelled her in the worst case scenario using the cheat chit, but didn't because he likes trouble.

She never really changed, sabotaging Horikita and the class at every turn.

So, I didn't even consider NOT expelling her.

I had decided the timing for her expulsion to be after the first month, when class points have already become 0. This way, the class wouldn't blame me for getting 0 points because I expelled her.

The plan needed some physical proof against her.

I couldn't really find her blog from the middle school, so I needed to catch her ranting.

It wasn't really THAT difficult. Afterall, with enough practice now, I can turn invisible using Suzu's camouflage without any difficulty.

I have already found the rooftop with no camera, and the stalking feature of the phone's map showed Kushida going to that building almost every other day.

When I started the rumour that she has hots for me, and that I feel like I know her from somewhere, the amount of time she spent there skyrocketed.

I had already bought a small spying camera and mic, so I went there, and recorded everything.

Suzu is the best.

Give me, choco!

Yeah yeah. I will give you lots of chocolates.

And accusing Kushida of causing students of her class to go suicidal wasn't a baseless claim.

With what she did and how the school was covering it up, there must have been some cases of immature middle schoolers getting depressed and suicidal.

This school might have some information about it, but buying it will require large amount of points.

We can't buy someone else's information that this school has, but for our own, it is 5 million points.

Even if Kushida wants to buy it, even the whole class combined doesn't have that amount of points. Even the seniors who might have become friends with her wouldn't waste their precious points.

And Kushida is easy to snap.

I am going to channel all my Horikita-ness to trash talk her.

I stared at her as if she is a disgusting creature, and she tried to act like she didn't understand anything.

"Horikita-san! I genuinely didn't know that you were from my school!"

"Even though I was given trophies in every exam and competition in front of the whole school?"

"I- you didn't see it with your eyes! Someone must have spread those rumours about me!"

"Yes! Kushida is right!"

Yamauchi and Ike shouted.

I sighed, and took out my phone.

"These are the recordings someone sent me. He knows about your past. About some blog you had that the whole class came to know. That you spewed all sorts of secrets, and lies mixed in in front of your whole class that you have been collecting all your middle school life.

Anyone, you haven't told Kushida any of your secrets, right?"

Mii-chan flinched, and I looked at her in pity.

"I am sorry Mii-chan, but I have to dispose off this time-ticking bomb. Please don't take it to heart."

And, I started playing the recordings.

"That bitch! Die! Die! Die!

How does she know me!?

That Horikita! I will kill her! kill her! kill her!"

"Those idiot trio! Leechers! I will gauge their eyes out!"

"Me!? Having a crush on Horikita!? I will strip her naked and beat her! Who does that bitch think she is!"

"That f*cking Karuizawa! Riding Hirata's cock and trying to boss me around!"

...

"Horikita-san! That's enough!"

Hirata shouted at me, and ran towards me to snatch my phone.

'Don't interfere, Suzu.'

I easily grabbed his hand and twisted it behind his back, and threw him away.

"Calm down Hirata. She was the one who was badmouthing your girlfriend, not me. This is a video, can't you see?"

"This is fake! I have a habit of kicking railings, but that's not my voice! The person who sent you this is manipulating you! This is a voice-over!"

Kushida made a good argument.

Hmm... she is smarter than I thought. Perhaps she snapped during the voting part of the exam due to the long stress that was accumulating on that day?

Sadly, I have Horikita's brain. And I am much smarter than Kushida.

"I also thought this. So, that person sent me another video with a different angle."

I played another video, that captured her face and mouth. I was sticking to the building and recording it.

"Sotomura-san, you are an expert in tech, right?

Do you think this video is fake?"

Sotomura anxiously looked at the video, squinting his eyes, and shook his head.

"It doesn't seem to be fake. Even if someone dubbed it, the mouth alignment is too perfect. And her expression is... scary... Even studios can't do it this perfect.

It is real."

"No! As Kushida-san said, it's not real! Horikita-san, who sent you this!?"

Kushida was silent, but Hirata was the one who asked me.

Now, I can shit him up.

"Someone who saved his friend from jumping down the building. Whose friend became suicidal because Kushida spread his secret that he entrusted her with.

I am sorry, but I can't reveal his identity. Or I might 'disappear' after graduation. I don't want to mess with a politician's kid."

There you have it.

While there is no mastermind behind, the seat auction experiment and now this, I have established that there is someone behind me, and I can't reveal his identity due to him being a politician's kid.

And who is a politician's kid in the class?

Ayanokoji.

Ryuen and all can go and try to find out X.

Not my problem.

"Shut up."

Kushida finally spoke, dropping her facade.

"Kushida, its best for you to apologise to everyone whose lives you have destroyed once you graduate.

I was a rude loner before. And I have realised my faults and am changing.

You can also change-"

"I said, SHUT UP!"

She grabbed my collar and started glaring at me.

Oooh... I am scared.

Well, it seems that the class is, with how deafening the silence is, aside from Kushida's shouting.

"Are you really that much of a psychopath that even after learning that you made many people suicidal, the only feeling you have is anger?"

"HA! Yes! I don't feel anything about learning this! Horikita, how dare you do this to me! HOW DARE YOU RUIN MY HIGH SCHOOL LIFE!?

You have a brother, right? How about I ruin his life?"

Oh. I guess she has snapped more than I thought.

I called 911 on my phone.

"Hello, Police. I want to issue a restraint order against a psychopath, Kushida Kikyo. She is threatening me and my brother. Yes. In ANHS. Please come."

She stopped holding my collar, and backed away.

"Do you honestly think that there is no police in this country? Even if contact with the outside world is not allowed, there is police in this school, and the same laws apply here as well.

Don't push your luck, Kushida. I have realised my mistake. You can't change.

It will best for you to recuperate in a mental facility."

"H-hey! Don't do this! A police complaint will seriously ruin my life!

I won't do anything! I will leave this school!

Just take back the complaint!"

It seems that she has realised that openly threatening me in front of the class will have consequences.

Getting expelled will be a better thing than having a restraint order and mental illness in her record.

There are quite a lot of mentally ill people in Japan. If she is labelled as such, she won't be able to get a job anywhere.

Well, with her looks and acting, she will be able to trap a well-off man and live comfortably in the future. I don't doubt that.

But, a police record will stay with her all her life.

Sigh. I am going to have mercy on her. And anyway, I never called the police. Afterall, investigation will reveal that the students of Kushida's middle school being suicidal was something I just made up.

"Sensei, Kushida wants to drop out. This won't affect our class points, right? There are no negative points, right?"

"There are no negative points. Usually, a student dropping out leads to reduction of 300 class points, but since the class point is 0, it will remain 0."

"Then Kushida, I hope you go to a therapist and seek help. Let's never meet again in the future."

No one said anything in the class, and even Hirata was sitting on the floor, feeling lost. He didn't complain after learning that Kushida pushed someone to think about suicide.

"Kushida, do you want to drop out?"

Chabashira asked her.

"...Yes."

"Then follow me to the office for the formalities."

Later that day, Kushida's desk and chair were removed, and Chabashira-sensei who came to the class during the history class informed us about the result of the incident.

Kushida has dropped out of the school.
