Hearing Ōnoki's words, most of the Stone ninjas were slightly stunned and showed puzzled expressions.

Las Noches?

Was this some emerging organization? It sounded more like a place name.

"Tsuchikage, what is Las Noches?"

From below, a high-ranking Stone ninja couldn't help but ask.

Ōnoki glanced at him, his sharp gaze slightly intense, and he spoke slowly.

"It's an organization established by the Leaf's rogue ninja Sōsuke. Hardly anyone outside knows any information about it; I too only came across it by chance."

As he spoke, his gaze darkened, and he continued solemnly.

"However, this organization can serve as our ally. After all, we must not underestimate Sōsuke's strength."

Hearing this, the people below were slightly shocked.

Sōsuke!?

Was he the same 'Child of the Leaf' who had destroyed the Stone's plan to attack the Leaf and who had opted to defect from his position as the Fourth Hokage?

Recalling this, everyone was reminded of just how formidable he was.

A Stone ninja with a puzzled expression raised a question.

"Tsuchikage, but if Las Noches is an organization established by Sōsuke, how can we ensure that it won't betray us during the upcoming battle?"

"After all, Sōsuke was the very person who foiled the Stone's plan to attack the Leaf."

Hearing this Stone ninja's words, the rest also showed agreement, all harboring the same doubt.

Ōnoki did not seem embarrassed by this doubt; his expression remained calm, clearly having anticipated such questions.

"If you had dealt with him, you would understand,"

"His pride and self-respect would not allow him to engage in such deceitful conduct."

"Therefore, as long as we establish a contractual relationship this time, everything thereafter should proceed smoothly."

Although those present were somewhat skeptical of this unreliable assurance compared to often violated ninja treaties, they presumed there must be a basis for the Tsuchikage's judgment.

Moreover, with Ōnoki holding significant authority at the time, no one further questioned his strategy.

Seeing that no objections were raised by the Stone ninjas below, Ōnoki's eyes flashed with determination as he declared firmly.

"Then, in the next part of the meeting, make sure to formulate a detailed plan."

"This time, the Stone Village absolutely cannot fail again!"

Hearing his stern voice, the expressions of the high-ranking Stone ninjas below all turned serious, each earnestly pondering their strategies for action.

The meeting room gradually buzzed with serious discussion.

And Ōnoki, with a weighty look, internally vowed,

No matter what his intentions were, even if he wished to destroy the ninja world, the Stone Village must rise to prominence before that could happen!

With that, a sharp gleam passed through his piercing eyes.

In the Rain Country,

Dark clouds densely covered the sky, pressing down towards the ground, casting a heavy atmosphere over the entire Rain Country.

"Boom!"

With a loud noise, a dazzling bolt of lightning suddenly cleaved through the sky!

That momentary brilliance illuminated the entire cloud layer, with the massive dark shadows accumulating in the vast sky, as if a gigantic beast was lurking.

"Rustle..."

"Rustle..."

Following the thunder, torrential rain instantly plummeted from the sky.

Under the dim sky, the soil on the ground was soaked, and the trees in the forest spread their branches and leaves, welcoming the copious rain.

Within the enshrouded Rain Village,

Atop the towering buildings made of dark stone, a young man gazed out the window at the falling rain, occasionally flashing a sharp glint in his eyes as if pondering something.

"Boom!"

Outside, another bolt of lightning streaked across the dark sky.

Behind him, where there was previously no one, with the flashing light, a figure suddenly appeared.

Feeling the presence of the newcomer, the young man slowly withdrew his gaze from the window, glanced behind him, and spoke softly.

"Saki, have you come with orders from Lord Aizen?"

The calmly appearing Saki, with his pale eyes quietly observing Jinnai, spoke evenly.

"Recently, the children sent here seem to be fewer in number. Is that all the manpower the Rain Village can muster?"

Hearing this, Jinnai's eyes flashed sharply, replying softly.

"Since becoming the leader of the Rain Village, I have increasingly felt the hope of this village. I understand that all this is brought by Lord Aizen."

"Yet precisely because of this, I am now somewhat puzzled. What exactly is Lord Aizen doing now? Where exactly are those children being sent?"

As he spoke, Jinnai's gaze firmly fixed on Saki's pale eyes, his voice no longer frivolous but heavy.

"Saki, I

want to know if what I am doing now is dooming the village's hope."

"And whether the promises made by Lord Aizen will be shattered by these actions."

Hearing Jinnai's words, Saki's expression remained calm, softly replying.

"You should know, Jinnai."

"Besides completing the tasks at hand, all you need to do is obey Lord Aizen."

At this, Jinnai's eyes widened abruptly, his hands clenched tightly, but only for a moment before they relaxed again, his gaze lowered.

His entire demeanor seemed drained as he spoke in a subdued tone.

"I understand."

"You may leave. I will send the next batch of required children on time."

Hearing this, Saki nodded slightly, then turned and walked away.

But behind him, Jinnai, who had been powerless, sat back down in his chair. He was unaware of Lord Aizen's actions over the past year, merely sending children continuously as instructed.

It seemed his earlier ambitions had faded, for he knew nothing of what the future held.

Nor was he clear on what Lord Aizen was currently doing.

"Click."

As Saki pushed open the door to leave, his back to Jinnai, he spoke calmly.

"The children have not perished. Although some did not survive, those who endured received the power they longed for."

"This is a gift from Lord Aizen, their honor, and perhaps even the future of the Rain Village and our ideals."

"Let this be the last time, Jinnai. If you continue to doubt Lord Aizen, I will be the first to deal with you."

As his voice fell, Saki's figure "swooshed" and disappeared from the spot.

Hearing Saki's words, Jinnai was momentarily stunned, his lost faith slowly seeping back into him like flowing light.

His expression gradually brightened, and his overall demeanor improved.

He murmured softly.

"Thank goodness. As long as the Lord has not broken his promises, everything will continue to progress as hoped. Thank goodness."

Meanwhile,

In a hidden location within the Rain Village.

Under the dark clouds, inside a vast building with pale, mottled walls,

A magnetic voice slowly resonated within the expansive structure.

"Ulquiorra, how do you feel about the recovery of your strength?"

Hearing this voice, a somewhat oddly-appearing young man slowly turned around, looking up at the tall figure in the shadows, and respectfully knelt on one knee.

He slowly raised his hand, his green eyes like emerald stones, looking at his right hand, and spoke calmly.

"The human body is still too frail. At present, I can exert less than one-tenth of my original strength."
