"I honestly cannot answer that simply," said Kier placing the backpack on the ground. He rushed through the words, but was completely clear. "Crisia was the only person who actually believed I could do the things I try to do now. She was the one woman who looked at me with admiring eyes even though there is nothing to be admired about me. She told me to do the things I wanted to do and pushed me to do the things I hate, but that I'm good at."
Kier murmured a spell as he opened his hand, palm up. A sword appeared in it, and the Mage turned to face Ina, but looked only at the blade through misty eyes.
"She was the only person I really, truly cared about, and the one who gave me this sword. Until the Green Madness took her. Until she became Acris."
Kier raised his eyes. Ina looked at him with troubled eyes.
"Crisia was the sister whose heart I ran through with the sword she gifted to me."
