Kier had been silent for several minutes. All he did was stare at Ina's eyes until she shifted uncomfortably from carrying Irel. Kier took the girl from her.
"You're keeping me from thinking."
"I haven't said anything."
"Your eyes are distracting. Uncannily distracting. Look away. Now. You're making me stupid."
Ina smiled. Kier had calmed down and she spoke out of relief before she could stop herself. "Your eyes are making me stupid too."
