As soon as she said it, Ina wanted to take her hand up and cover her mouth. It made it halfway before she realized how foolish that would be. Whatever drove her to say what she did, looking away or looking as ashamed as she felt would not erase it.
Kier kept his eyes on Ina's. His hand went to hers and pressed lightly on it, as if he didn't want Ina to cover her mouth or turn away.
"The mom and sister," said Kier.
"What?"
"The mom and sister. They need a proper ritual to mark their passing."
With that, Kier moved to kneel next to the bodies. He whispered a spell and the blood on their clothes and skin was gone.
