"There it is," said Kier. He'd just sensed the trail of a weak Magic user. He lifted his hand to snap his fingers.
"Wait," Ina walked closer to him, Irel on her arms. "Please wait. Whatever you're thinking of doing, I'm sure whoever did this deserves it."
"Why are we waiting, then?"
There was no green glow in Kier's eyes. That scared Ina. It meant it wasn't the Madness that made him think those horrible things Medes said. It was all Kier.
Ina stepped in front of him. She looked up at his eyes. Her look was soft, understanding. There wasn't a single hint of judgement in them.
"What are you going to do to them?"
"I haven't decided yet. And I don't think you'd want to know."
"Then, please. Look at my eyes. Just look at my eyes for however long it takes for you to think of something that I would want to know."
