They appeared within the cabin they saw in Irel's memories.
"Please, hold her," said Kier handing Irel to Ina. She took the girl gingerly.
Kier immediately paced around the house, like a dog searching for a scent, minding the bodies of Irel's mother and sister.
"What are you doing?" asked Ina.
Kier didn't answer.
"He's trying to sense a magical trail," said Medes. He was standing on Ina's Shoulder. "So he can track whoever did this."
"He can do that?"
"Of course he can. That's how he found your cabin when you first met him."
"What will he do if he finds the trail?"
"That really doesn't matter so much as what you'll do when he does." Medes blinked as he turned from Kier to Ina. His pupils dilated as they focused on the Druid's eyes. "The things going through his mind, the things he's imagining he'll do to whoever did this, are horrible."
