"Again with his stories," said Ina looking up at her ceiling. She sighed and slapped her legs as she stood up. "What is it with him and tales?"
"He thinks they're a kind of Magic," said Medes. "He thinks truths, powerful truths can be found in stories. And he wants to find those truths, and maybe even write some new ones."
"Stories are just stories. They entertain you. They're an escape."
"Stories taught him that he might reason with shadows," said Medes. "They taught him where to find that golden sickle, and it's stories that led him to discover ancient, forgotten Runes."
Medes did not scold Ina, but the sincere, thoughtful tone of his voice silenced the Druid.
"And it was stories that allowed him to make Medes his familiar," said Peppermint.
