"Why can't I have them both?" Athyn answered. Her lips parted hungrily.
Ina nodded, hoping it got across as if she got Athyn's point. She was actually starting to get an idea of why Kier wanted her to leave.
"Why does Kier want you out of here, anyways?"
Athyn looked down at her body, then opened her arms to present herself. "Your guess is as good as mine."
Again, Ina nodded. A few seconds passed as she tried to think of what to say next, but she was saved the trouble.
The floor moved. Away from her feet. But her heels hit it again, bending her knees with the impact. Athyn fell forward and broke her fall with her hands.
It was as if the tower had been driven down like a nail.
