Ina had an inkling of what was happening. The inkling grew to a suspicion as she made her way to the window. She was sure of what had caused the tower to plunge down as she peeked out the window. Sure enough, there they were.
"Gnarls," she thought as she saw the woody creatures burrowing around the base of the tower.
"You didn't check underground before putting your tower here?" asked the Witch.
"Underground?" Athyn moved closer to Ina. "Why would I check the dirt? I can't imagine the amount of filth there."
Ina stared at the Femage incredulously. "Get us out of here. Before this tower collapses."
