An old man with flames hushing from his palms landed like a rocket on the hill of a lush green farmland of a small village on the outskirts of a town known only as Old York. The farmlands had a few stone dwellings but large herds of animals could be seen left about to graze on the fields.
Roku flashed his foot slightly annoyed,
"Just my rotten luck, landed straight in the manure." Roku tried to flash off the brown substance until he realized that his flames had lit some of the grass around him on fire. The flames caused the nearby cows to flee in a stampede like manner.
The cattle, now convinced that their peaceful pasture had become a warzone, stampeded away in a chaotic frenzy.
Amongst the tumult and rising smoke, a high-pitched shriek pierced the air.
"EEK!"
