The blinding light around Kirin subsided, and she found herself in another high-ceilinged cavern.
She wanted to take a minute to understand her surroundings, but by the time she could gather her bearings, a sea of fireballs was already crashing down on her.
Her eyes widened, trying to make sense of the situation, but the torrent of fireballs landed and bombarded the area without end.
"This one wasn't as frightening as the last," Diablo said as he watched the horde of demons rain down spell after spell onto the intruder.
"Yes, at least with this, we can hurry up and join the others," Atrox responded in agreement.
"Do you really think the others would need our help? They didn't get that old man either, you know," Atrox thought as they calmly enjoyed the sight.
"No, but these intruders, something feels different about them." And as though responding to that train of thought, the cavern quaked with a tremendous force.
