A Night Together
Karma leaned closer, his gaze intense as he looked into your eyes. Slowly, he drew you in, pressing his lips gently to yours. Even in your tipsy state, the kiss felt perfect, like something out of a dream. His lips began to trail down to your neck, leaving soft kisses as he held you close. You felt the warmth of his breath, and as his lips lingered, he left a few small hickeys—a subtle mark to show the world you were his.
His hands moved carefully, tracing your neck and waist with a tenderness that made your heart race. Slowly, he began lifting your T-shirt, his touch gentle and respectful. For a moment, he paused, looking into your eyes, as if making sure this was okay. He picked you up effortlessly, guiding you against the wall and resuming his kisses, his lips finding yours once more. Time seemed to blur as he lifted you onto the bed, cradling you close, where you eventually drifted off in his arms, your head resting on his chest.
The Morning After
The next morning, you woke up to the soft sunlight streaming through the window. Blinking, you sat up and realized you were in an unfamiliar bedroom. Gathering your thoughts, you stood up and made your way downstairs, hoping to get some clarity.
"Uh, hello?" you called out, still a bit disoriented.
Karma appeared from the kitchen, smiling. "Good morning, beautiful!" he greeted, stepping forward to give you a light kiss on the forehead.
"Karma? Where are we? This isn't Dazai and Sara's house… Where are we?"
Karma chuckled softly. "So… you don't remember last night?"
You stared at him, bewildered. "No, not really. All I remember is us going to the party… What happened?"
He motioned for you to sit down and explained the events of the night. As he spoke, your cheeks reddened with realization.
"Wait… we… you mean, you and I… last night?" You stammered, the blush spreading. "No, no, no… this can't be real!"
Karma laughed softly, reaching over to take your hand. "Relax. You told me how you felt, that you've liked me since September. I just… wanted you to know I feel the same."
You managed a shy smile, feeling your heart race as you processed everything.
Heading to School
After getting ready, you made your way to school. Karma looked at you, eyebrows raised as you blushed.
"Where are you off to so early?" he asked.
"Uh, Rio called. She… wanted to see me before class," you said, your cheeks flushing again as you quickly slipped out the door, not waiting for his response.
When you arrived at school, you spotted Rio, Yosano, and a few others waiting.
"Heey, (Y/N)!" Rio called, then paused, noticing your slightly dazed expression. "Are you okay? You look… flustered."
Yosano tilted her head. "Did something happen at the party?"
You shook your head, trying to play it cool. "Nothing… h-happened…"
"Oh, something definitely happened!" Rio teased, eyes wide with curiosity. "Come on, tell us!"
"Later, okay? I just… need a minute," you muttered, glancing down.
Just then, Karma arrived at the schoolyard. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around you from behind, catching you by surprise.
Rio raised an eyebrow. "Uh, Karma? Why are you hugging her like that?"
Karma just smirked, keeping his arms around you. Your face flushed again as your friends exchanged curious glances.
Rio's eyes widened. "Wait… are you two… together?!"
Karma shrugged, still grinning. "It's… complicated."
"Complicated? How?" Kayano pressed, her curiosity piqued.
You stammered, feeling overwhelmed. "Uh… I'm just gonna go get a milkshake. I'll… see you guys in a bit!"
The Secret is Out
After you left, Karma turned to your friends, who were buzzing with questions. He let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair.
"She didn't realize she told me how she felt last night," he explained, smirking. "And… well, we had a moment."
The group erupted in a mix of shock and excitement.
"WHAAAT?!"
Karma chuckled, waving his hands to calm them down. "Look, just… keep it down, alright?"
Meanwhile, you were at the school cafe, sipping your milkshake as you tried to piece together the events of the previous night. When the school bell rang, you headed to class, grateful for the distraction.
Later, in the Park
After school, with nowhere else to go, you wandered over to the nearby park to clear your head. You decided to check your phone, flipping through various apps when you noticed the voice recorder. Intrigued, you clicked on a recent recording from last night, curiosity taking over as you listened.
The beginning was fuzzy, but as the memories started coming back, a wave of realization hit you. Embarrassed and a bit stunned, you took a deep breath, feeling overwhelmed. Just then, you spotted Karma jogging over.
"I was looking for you!" he called, sounding relieved.
"I… I've been here," you replied, your voice soft.
"Why didn't you come home after school?" he asked, concern in his eyes.
You sighed, looking away. "Can we just… forget about it, please? I know things might be different now, but I don't want things to change."
Karma gave you a gentle smile. "If you want to be 'just friends,' that's okay. But… I just want you to know, I'm here for whatever you need."
Back at Karma's House
That evening, you went back to Karma's place, planning to relax and do some homework. Your mom called, letting you know she'd be staying at your aunt's a bit longer, so you'd have a couple more days before she returned. After you hung up, Karma offered to grab some snacks for a movie night he'd planned as a surprise.
While he was out, your friends—Rio, Kayano, Naomi, and Lucy—stopped by.
"So… that really happened, huh?" Naomi said with a smirk. "Why didn't you tell us?"
You sighed, feeling your cheeks warm up again. "Honestly, I'm still processing it myself. We're just… friends, I think."
"Okay, okay," they said, exchanging amused looks.
As Karma returned, snacks in hand, you all shared a laugh, settling in for a night of movies and fun, each of you cherishing the moments shared together.
