Chapter 6 - 5

Karma walked in, calling out, "Hey, I'm home!"

He made his way upstairs, eventually appearing in the doorway to the bedroom. You looked up from your desk, smiling.

"So, what'd you buy?" you asked, noticing the shopping bag in his hand.

"Just some snacks… for tonight," he replied with a little grin.

You raised an eyebrow. "What's tonight?"

"Well, I thought… maybe we could watch a movie together?" he asked, sounding a bit shy.

"Yeah, sure, why not," you said, trying not to smile too much.

He blinked, looking almost surprised, but then nodded, "Okay then!"

After finishing your homework around 8 PM, you headed down to the kitchen, where you found Karma setting out snacks on the counter. He turned when he heard you come in.

"Ugh, finally done with homework!" you sighed, stretching your arms. "Time to relax a bit."

"Perfect timing," Karma replied. "Let's start the movie!"

You both settled in the living room with a romantic movie. The room was cozy and quiet, and you couldn't help but feel the butterflies in your stomach every time Karma glanced your way.

Then, a scene came on where the characters shared a kiss. Karma shifted beside you, clearing his throat. You felt him looking at you and turned to meet his gaze.

"Listen," he began softly, "I… I don't just want to be your friend."

You blinked, feeling your heart skip a beat. "So… what do you want to be?"

He leaned in close, his eyes serious but warm. "Your boyfriend."

And then he kissed you, his lips soft and sweet against yours, pulling back just long enough to whisper, "I love you."

You stared, wide-eyed and surprised, but your heart felt like it was racing. Slowly, you smiled, looking into his eyes. "I… I love you too," you said, barely above a whisper, before wrapping your arms around him and pulling him into another kiss.

From that day forward, the two of you were together—no secrets, no complications, just the real thing.
