The four people had been rushed to the closest hospital by ambulance. Ahn Sooho and Kim Eunae had the most serious injuries as they had been on the side of impact when the truck hit.
Ahn Sooho's head was bleeding severely, the glass shards from the broken windows and screen on the car were embedded into his skin causing blood to drip from all surfaces. A large piece of metal frame was embedded on his shoulder, he had fainted in the ambulance and was taken into surgery immediately.
Kim Eunae on the other hand had a large metal frame impaling her abdomen all the way through her back. The frame punctured through several organs causing heavy internal bleeding leading to cardiac arrest in the ambulance while she was sent to the hospital.
Ahn Daehyun in the front passenger seat had a minor concussion, a dislocated shoulder from the crash impact and broken ribs, one of which had punctured into his right lung, which was found after he was transferred into the hospital. He had been the only one still conscious after the accident and before he went into surgery to repair the damage to his lung.
Kim Jinsol who had been behind the passenger seat had hit her head against the metal frame resulting in a skull fracture and intracranial hematoma (bleeding within the skull), and a piece of metal was stabbed into her upper thigh causing bleeding. She had been rushed into surgery to control the bleeding in her leg and brain.

After they had been brought to the hospital, as a result of them not having any guardians, the staff went through their wallets and phones to see if they could contact a guardian or relative. Unfortunately the car accident had destroyed all of the phones. Luckily though they had their identity cards and Ahn Daehyun still had his passport with him. They contacted the Korean Embassy as a result, who then contacted their individual parents.
"Ring..ring..ring!" Kim Eunjoo had been sound asleep when the loud ringing of the landline woke her up. Checking the alarm clock beside her bed she saw that it was only 6:30 in the morning. Wondering who could have called at this time, she got out of bed with tired eyes to pick up the landline in the living room. She was soon wide awake from the sudden news that both of her son's had been in a car accident and were in the hospital, that too in America. At first she denied vehemently to the person on the other side of the line that that was impossible. Especially since her older son was in Korea busy with work and her younger son should be in France with his wife, Kim Eunae, right now.
The person from the Embassy, unsure about how to deal with a hysteric mother, continued to explain to her calmly. "Ma'am, I know this must be hard but both of your son's were indeed in a car accident and have been taken to the hospital along with two other females who were also in the car with them. According to their ID cards their names are Kim Eunae and Kim Jinsol. They are also in the hospital currently. Would you happen to be their relatives or know their guardians?" The Embassy personnel asked hopefully. They did not have the passports of those two individuals and although they were still in the process of tracking down their guardians it could still take some time.
"What?!! Eunae and Jinsol are there as well?" She was shocked. She had no idea what those four were doing together at this time and in America at that. After the fiasco that Eunae and Sooho had pulled on Daehyun's wedding day her husband, Ahn Seonghoon, and Eunae's father, Kim Jeongho, had been so angry that they had disowned both children and forbid everyone from contacting or helping them. In the beginning she and Choi Hyunjeong, her best friend had both been angry at them as well and followed their husbands decision, but in the end they were still mothers and after a year of separation and silence still contacted them in secret occasionally. Still she was unaware of the fact that Daehyun and Jinsol kept in contact with them. She had been under the impression that Daehyun was still angry at his brother and Eunae for what had happened since he kept quiet and didn't say a word about the incident. She felt bad for her older son and that was also why she could never bring herself to speak up and ask for forgiveness for Sooho even after two years. Now that she suddenly found out that the four of them were all in a car accident together she was shocked.
She quickly informed the Embassy about the fact that the two girls were sisters and gave her friend's phone number, who was also their mother. Kim Eunjoo quickly asked for the address of the hospital and gave verbal permission for her two sons' surgery before hanging up. She collapsed onto the nearby sofa after hanging up with tears streaming down her face, the shock of the news still not registering completely with her.
Housekeeper Park, who was also woken up by the sound, stood silently beside her, hesitating before getting a glass of water from the kitchen for Kim Eunjoo to drink, "Ma'am, here drink a glass of water." She tried to speak comfortingly.
"No, I don't have time for this right now." She suddenly stood up flustered, wiping away the tears from her face.
"Mrs. Park, can you please pack some of my and my husbands' clothes into the luggage. I need to call my husband. Where is my phone?" She asked searching furiously through the living area.
"Madam, you left the phone in the kitchen." Mrs. Park saw her anxiety and turned around to pack the luggage upstairs.
Kim Eunjoo quickly called her husband after finding her phone. "Hello?" Her husband's voice came on the other side. He had just left 15 minutes prior for an important meeting at the company in the morning.
Hearing her husband's voice only broke the dam of her emotions causing her to sob uncontrollably, "Yeobo, what's wrong? Why are you crying? Did something happen?! Ahn Seonghoon rushed to ask in anxiety. His wife was not one to be known to cry like this.
Kim Eunjoo spoke incoherently through her tears and surging emotions.
"Yeobo..hic.. Daehyun and Sooho..sob..are injured… in the hospital!"
