On the other side Choi Hyunjeong and Kim Jeongho, Eunae and Jinsol's parents, were both at the hospital when they received the call. Choi Hyunjeong was performing a surgery when the call came so the nurses passed it on to Kim Jeongho when they said it was an emergency.
When Kim Jeongho received the call, his heart constricted in pain thinking about his little girls whose life and death were unknown at this moment. His breath caught in his throat and he felt like he couldn't breath. "My daughters, are they okay? What is their condition right now?!" He rushed to ask.
"The last update we had received was that your daughters and the other two gentlemen Ahn Daehyun and Ahn Sooho who were together with them were all taken into surgery due severe injuries. We don't know about their current condition at the moment but will let you know as soon as we have any update." The Embassy personnel said.
"Okay! Okay! Me and my wife will be on the next flight to the US, we will get to the hospital immediately!" Kim Jeongho spoke anxiously. He ended the call and rushed to the observation room of his wife's surgery while ordering the resident following him. "Inform Dr. Seo to go to the surgery room and take over for Dr. Choi immediately. Also call Chief Han and tell him to clear mine and Dr.Choi's schedules and take over and distribute any immediate surgeries to the other doctors. We are going to be out of the country for some time being." He spoke with a fuzzy head. The world was spinning out of control but he knew he had to stay calm and years of experience in emergency situations led him to always act calmly. The resident ran off to follow the instructions.
Kim Jeongho walked to the hallway outside of the observation room of the surgery. It was still very early in the morning and the hallway was empty. He realised that he was all alone at the moment and immediately collapsed to the ground using his hands to support himself. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes. He couldn't believe what was happening right now. His little girls were in the hospital right now and he wasn't by their side. It had been almost two years since he last spoke to his eldest daughter, after that incident he couldn't bring himself to talk to her. She had been his eldest daughter, the first child he had held in his hands, the one he spoiled and gave way to on everything, and her actions had caused deep betrayal and heartache for him. She could have told him or talked to him but instead she ran away without a word which broke his heart and so he hardened it and cut her off. His younger daughter on the other hand was the baby of the family. She was the youngest in her generation among all her cousins so everyone in the family had doted on her especially his parents. Surprisingly though, her personality was the complete opposite of his elder daughter. She was very calm, not to mention extremely smart, causing his parents to dote on their little granddaughter even more. Now both of his daughter's were in a car accident and taken to surgery. He wasn't sure how to digest this news, not to mention telling his wife about it. He took off his glasses and wiped his eyes before getting up and took a deep breath and entered the observation deck above the Surgical room. He stood in the observation deck silently, watching his wife perform a C-section on the patient. The room was filled with soft music, busy medical staff and an expectant new father sitting beside the patient. He just watched this scene solemnly remembering when their own two daughters had been born. He saw Dr. Seo walked into the room silently behind Dr. Choi.
"Dr. Choi, I need you to step aside and let Dr. Seo take over the surgery. Please come outside." Kim Jeongho pressed the intercom button to speak. His wife looked up from the surgery to the observation deck making eye contact with his serious face.
"Alright, Dr. Seo you know Mrs. Park yes?I haven't made the uterine incision yet. The abdominal incision has been completed. The patient is 34 years old with an intrauterine pregnancy and is carrying twins so be careful. Dr. Kim will fill you in on the details." Choi Hyunjeong spoke to Dr. Seo and put down her scalpel. Dr. Choi walked to the patient and her husband. "I am very sorry but I have to step outside right now. Don't worry though, Dr. Seo is highly skilled and will take good care of your wife and babies." Choi Hyunjeong explained comfortingly to the patient and her husband before exiting the room quietly. She took off her gloves and mask and washed her hands before exiting the surgery area to the outside hall where she found her husband waiting.
"Dr. Kim, what's the matter?" She asked, thinking that it was probably a medical emergency that needed her consultation.

Childhood summers and school was where Ahn Daehyun, Ahn Sooho, Kim Eunae, and Kim Jinsol had known each other from. Their families had been longtime friends since their parents' generation. Their mothers, Kim Eunjoo and Choi Hyunjeong, had gone to the same Women's University and were roommates and best friends while studying there. Both had gotten married to their respective husbands after graduating but still kept in contact over the years. Their husbands became close and the children were all familiar with each other as a result. Almost every summer break they had gone vacationing together, their parents, sometimes too busy to join them, would just send them with nannies. Ahn Daehyun and Ahn Sooho's family were in the real estate business and owned a chain of hotel's causing their parents to be busy with managing the business all day. The same went for Kim Eunae and Kim Jinsol's parents, maybe even more so for them since their parents were both doctors and their father had inherited a Hospital from their grandparents. Both of them were always busy with management or surgeries all the time causing the sister's to be left to their own devices with the nannies or with their grandparents most of the time.
Ahn Daehyun was the oldest among all of them, 4 years older than Ahn Sooho and Kim Eunae, and a full twelve years older than Kim Jinsol.
When the parents of the two families arranged a marriage between Ahn Daehyun and Kim Eunae, he hadn't been very surprised or minded. He was already 32 years old and didn't have a girlfriend at the time and marrying someone he knew and was friends with seemed a better option than a marriage of convenience to a complete stranger. Kim Eunae had also not shown any dissatisfaction or negativity towards the marriage arrangements, so when the actual wedding day had come and she ran away from the wedding venue with his younger brother, to say he was surprised would be accurate. Other than the surprise, he was only a little upset and angry that his brother hadn't said anything about their relationship before but there wasn't really any heartbreak. On the contrary he felt that his parents were the ones who reacted more strongly to the incident.
