As I stepped into the third selection field, I inhaled deeply. This was it. The moment we had all been waiting for—the match against the World Five. I have been playing around against average players; this was time for a real challenge, one against the best in the Blue Lock world.
I was aware that we were competing with the very best. The World Five are obviously the top five players in the world, and if we wanted to defeat them, we would need to play at our absolute best.
"They're here!" Pablo Cavasoz pointed at us.
"That makes it the third team, huh?" Pablo Cavasoz added.
We briefly stopped on our way to the field when we noticed the World Five gathered in the middle of the field.
The World Five were simply chit-chatting, probably relaxing as they had already defeated two teams that had advanced past the Second Selection with ease.

"Won't you look at that, another weak-assed team?" Dada Silva spoke loudly.
"Watch your mouth," Adam Blake said. "Perhaps this 'weak-assed team' might actually be good."
"They think that we're weak?" Hiori said while slightly furrowing his brows.
"Hiori, you can understand them?" Kurona asked in surprise.
Football players, whether professional or semi-pro, usually learn two or more languages to communicate easily. People in a single team could be of different nationalities but could communicate easily when they could all understand and speak a common shared language.
As a pro footballer in my past life, I happened to fluently speak three languages and several others only moderately well. While I couldn't communicate well in other languages that weren't Italian, Spanish, or English, I could basically understand what others were saying. Back in La Masia, I mainly learned English so I could converse with the officials and referees during international tournaments.
Hiori answered, "Yeah, I learned English because my parents enrolled me in a language class. I started learning English when I was young because they wanted me to play in the top football leagues."
That was when I remembered Hiori's backstory. His parents had nurtured him from birth to become the number one player in the world's number one sport because they couldn't do it in their own respective sports. So to accomplish their dreams, it was only natural that they would help him eliminate any language barrier while playing internationally.
"What are you saying? Best? They're the third team to have come here, and based on what Ego was saying, they might be worse than the first two teams," Dada Silva responded loudly to what Adam Blake had just said.
Even though they were underestimating us, I didn't care. If I were being paid to play against some high schoolers, I would probably feel the same way.
"Factos!" Leonardo Luna added, "Well, as long as I get paid, that's why I'm here after all."
"Yeah, let's finish this quickly, so I can enjoy the rest of my summer vacation in Japan." Dada Silva responded.
"Besides, don't you want to do away quickly and return back to France?" Adam Blake said, glancing at Julien Loki.
"Yeah, but that's just beyond the point. I'm here to play against them, and that's all I'm gonna do." Julien Loki said as he walked away from them.
"Nice to meetcha," he said as he approached us. "Let's have fun."
I smiled. "I'm sure we will," I said.
