Chapter 19 - Fortune coffee.

After what looked like hours, we all lay on the cozy bed, with me in the middle.

It was almost sunrise but my body ached for a rest, no one talked about anything apart from the profession we had hiked in as I closed my eyes with a smile.

"Good night." I felt drowsy as I let slumber take over me. Sarah was on my chest, preventing Lisa from any move she might make. The game was analogous and everyone was fine with it.

"Good night too," Lisa answered to me as Sarah pecked my cheek and called me sweet names. They treated me like an eunuch before I slept, not afraid that I may gain some energy and demand a shot or two.

Not, as usual, this morning was impressive. I woke up to find myself all alone with the duvet over my face. I was still naked but I didn't mind as I heard the two cheerful females laughing politely downstairs. I took a quick shower and changed into my common clothes before taking a breath down the stairs. And there they were, having a mug of chocolate and cupcakes.

"Hey! Good morning Prince Charming."

"You up! Let me get you some chocolate."

"Sweerie please sit down. Let me help you with that... " Sarah was excessively caring for me as Lisa came back with hot chocolate and biscuits.

This was unusual, the two were getting along smoothly, but it seemed like there was a kind of competition on who was going to win my attention.

"Are you alright.?" I asked Sarah who was hovering in front of my face, disrupting me from drinking my chocolate.

"She is obsessed with you." Lisa smiled from behind me as Sarah nodded her head merrily and fed me biscuits. It was as if I was worth a king's attention.

Our talk converted into business as Lisa proposed business ideas, ending with opening a coffee shop.

Sarah was against that, debating on coffee shops and tea houses.

"What's the difference between the two!" The debate was heated as I saw no difference between a coffee shop and a tea house.

"Tea house is for the old!"

"And coffee shops run till late, more profit!"

I heaved heavily, asking for the overall budget, "We can open a bakery within the Coffee shop and still do some tea stuff and other beverages." I suggested as Lisa thinned her lips and nodded in approval.

"What do you say?" I asked Sarah who doubted if my money was even enough for it.

"Do you know how much a bakery costs?"

She was right, but we had to take the chance. "No risk no gain." That was my favorite quote from a movie I watched. "Let's see how much we need."

From Kookle's search, we discovered that such a business required a minimal capital of over $200,000. That was enough to have a medium-sized coffee shop equipped and furnished. We learned that another $50,000 would be required for the first three months and baker's salary. We were going to self-employ ourselves as waitresses and maids.

"That money is enough," I confirmed tapping my pocket. I had enough money for that.

"So what next?"

"We are searching for a promising rental shop in town." Sarah suggested as Lisa added, "And call our business 'LICKY LUCKY COFFEE AND BREAD!'"

"WTF?"

"That name so long." Sarah objected as she suggested her's, "Fortune Coffee Shop."

I kinda liked Sarah's as it brought in a procrastinating image in me.

"We need to hire a well-experienced baker, Lisa can you get us one from your home streets? I heard there are lots of retired chefs there." Our gaze fell on Lisa who promised to invite a man she knew over.

Everything was settled, and our business was going to commence with immediate effect. So we packed and decided to leave for town.

Joy rode my heart as I saw a bright future. I pictured myself having branches of Fortune Coffee Shop all over the continent and across. I was being overconfident and fictional.

We took a cab to Warwickshire town and headed directly to the town municipal office for a business license. With money, everything ran smoothly.

Half past noon, we stood outside a vacant shop with a notice of 'TO LET' on the metallic entrance when a figure caught my attention.

My stare made the two blondes beside me follow my gaze and Sarah responded with a sniff.

"Here comes the immature lass." I heard Sarah say as she wrapped her hand in mine and pushed me away from sight. Lisa was making a call to the landlord who was just across the street. "The landlord says he will be here in just a minute." Lisa notified us as Sarah dragged me further away, into a lane.

"What's wrong with you?" I shouted as Lisa helped Sarah get me completely out of sight. "The Mayer family is fifth on top of the board of wealthy families. They even have a bond with the royal family!"

But none was going to listen to me, they knew all that fearing that I would marry a lass in the end.

But who would have expected that Jessie would follow us to the end?

We were standing in front of a shop, on the opposite street when the girl in a blue skirt and white blouse walked over shyly. Sarah was going to burst with rage when Jessie hugged me short and called me hubby.

She was a second-year high schooler!

"He is not your hubby!" Sarah pushed the girl who almost tripped but I swiftly caught her. "He is her's" Sarah pointed at Lisa who almost declined, "Me?"

"I don't care, he saved my life and Mom wants me to repay him." Jessie innocently defended herself as she hung on my hand. I knew Sarah wished for me to chase her away but instead, I held her and requested Lisa to confirm business with the landlord.

"We have Fortune Coffee Shop to worry about," I said turning to the young teenager who beamed and asked.

"Fortune Coffee...?"

"Yeah, Fortune Coffee," I confirmed as a red Ferrari drove over to park near us.

"Mother!" Jessie called out as we noticed the lady in dera wave at us.
