Eastern Peninsula, Barbaric Territories
Despite their… vicious tendencies, the territories had become somewhat civil. It was still an eat-or-be-eaten world, but there was trading, now.
It was like a marketplace, with thousands of things being sold.
In the thick crowd of barbarians, there was one person, passing through quite fast, bumping into others.
"Hey, watch where you're going!"
The silver-haired traveler stopped.
"My apologies. I just have somewhere to be."
"Yeah. Keep it pushing."
The traveler had bandages wrapped around their forehead. His dark blue eyes stayed down, looking at the ground as he moved.
"Ah, I nearly forgot what I came here for."
The traveler unsheathed his sword.
Swsh!
In one swipe, he wiped out most of the people around him. Barbarians scattered all across, leaving their resources behind. Their lives were far more important.
"Alright, guys. Scavenge."
From bushes surrounding the marketplace, hundreds of barbarians came out. They collected the carts full of food and resources.
"Let's return to base."
"Haargh!"
A brave barbarian decided not to run away from the danger, but run toward the traveler. He held a large axe, ready to swing.|
Swsh!
His swordsmanship was so impeccable. In one slice, the barbarian's hands were removed, and he dropped his axe.
"M-My hands-"
The traveler thrust his sword into the barbarian's mouth, through his head, quickly finishing him off.
"Nice work, Sir Keon!" his lackeys yelled out, as they all continued to scavenge.
. . .
. .
.
"Sir Keon? They called you... Sir Keon!"
The man in front of Keon sipping beer could not stop laughing.
"I don't get why that's so funny to you, Mathias.."
It was an ashen man, with short white hair and bright purple eyes. There was a single cut on his face, stretching from his chin to his ear. As anyone could tell, he was a Conele. But a pure-blooded one. That was very rare to see. A Pure-blooded Conele could be compared to a demon.
"I don't see you as a leader. I mean, you've only gathered these people for one reason, right?"
"To find Arlene. As soon as I have enough people, I'll raze that kingdom ten times over, and get her back."
The moon was especially bright, and the wind blew strong. Keon looked up at the sky.
"Is she still even alive? I doubt it-"
Keon grabbed Mathias by the collar, his expression unchanged. Mathias had a sly smirk on his face.
"Don't say that."
"You might be the king of those... low lives, but you aren't mine."
[Cast: Bone Blade]
Bone escaped from Mathia's hand, sliding into his palm.
Slash!
He swung at Keon.
Keon quickly unsheathed his sword in the time that Mathias was swinging, blocking the attack.
Clk!
Mathias dashed away. Keon held his sword up.
[Cast: Flashstep]
Mathias lunged at Keon. Suddenly, he switched his bone sword to his left hand.
"Eh?-"
[Cast: Blood Palm]
Mathias took a lower stance, striking Keon in the chest.
"Ack!-"
He changed his footing, grabbing the bone sword with his right hand, and preparing for an impale.
Keon snapped out of his haze, tightening his grip on his sword.
Swsh!
He slashed at Keon's chest. It was a direct hit, though too shallow.
"Tch!"
They clashed. Mathias's bone sword was comparable to the strongest of steels, so it was able to hold up against Keon's.
Keon slid his sword up, pushing Mathias off. With Mathias open, he stepped closer, plunging his sword into his chest.
"Aaugh!" he yelled, pushing Keon off. Keon took his sword out as well.
"..."
"Damn it... I get it!" Mathias collapsed. Keon walked over toward him.
"If you say anything like that again, I'll do you even worse."
Keon sliced his hand, allowing blood to drop into Mathias's mouth. Without taking much time, his injuries quickly healed.
