Harold was delighted when Johanna agreed to dance with him. He almost wanted to kiss her, but luckily he restrained himself; otherwise, all his efforts would have been in vain.
To Johanna's surprise, as soon as she started dancing with Harold, Rosendo left with Cheryl. Now that Rosendo was gone, Johanna no longer had any reason to continue dancing with Harold. She began to struggle with how to get rid of him.
"Dancing like this is so boring. We might as well sit down and enjoy the food," said Rosendo, holding Cheryl's hand.
"I feel the same way. It's not fun at all," Cheryl agreed.
Rosendo and Cheryl found an empty room and called for a waiter to bring them delicious dishes. "Cheers! Let's toast to this delicious feast," Rosendo raised his glass high and said to Cheryl.
"Cheers," Cheryl happily. She didn't expect Rosendo to have such similar interests as her, which made her feelings for him grow stronger and stronger.
While they were enjoying their private time together, things weren't going well for Johanna on the other side. Just when she managed to find an excuse to leave Harold behind accidentally got caught by him again. He kept pestering her and she couldn't shake him off no matter what she tried.
"Rosendo, Johanna spent so much money inviting you here for the party while you're hiding here enjoying food with me... Won't she be upset?" Cheryl asked worriedly.
"Who cares! She invited me here because she wanted help getting away from those pursuers of hers. I've already taken care of them and accompanied her at the party; therefore I consider myself free now." Rosendo replied unhappily." "Besides, you saw it just now, she even forcefully kissed me and didn't pay up. Not only did I lose out on that, but she also got mad at me. What kind of nonsense is this?"
Cheryl covered her mouth and chuckled, "You! I don't know what to say about you anymore. When a girl kisses you, you should feel proud and satisfied! How can you ask someone else to pay for kissing you? It's a matter of a girl's self-esteem. Moreover, Johanna is from a wealthy family and the school beauty; with her status and worthiness, asking her for money in exchange for a kiss is humiliating her. Can she not be angry? If it were me, I would be too."
"Speaking of which, she didn't mention anything about kissing when she invited me. You know what? Today she took away my first kiss, and I think it's worth at least ten thousand!" Rosendo frowned. He himself was a bit lecherous, but he only had eyes for women he liked. Women like Johanna who only wanted to use him, he wouldn't even bother if they stripped naked.
"Let me tell you a secret, Johanna's first kiss was also taken by you! So you both got something out of it - an exchange of first kisses," Cheryl laughed.
"But how is that fair? I don't like her at all. Why should I give my first kiss to her? If anyone deserves it...I'd rather give it to you than this petty woman," Rosendo muttered.
Cheryl blushed shyly as she suspected that Rosendo was hinting at something, trying to tell her that he liked Cheryl instead of Johanna.
"Cheryl, I'm doing some small business and would like to meet people in the same line. Can you introduce me to someone ?No need for big business connections, as I don't have the capability yet to collaborate with those involved in major enterprises," Rosendo said earnestly.
"Oh sure! There are many downstairs whom I know personally. Shall I bring a few up now to introduce them to you?" Cheryl readily offered.
"That would be great! Thank you," Rosendo replied happily.
Cheryl wasted no time in getting things done. When she returned again, there were five or six people following behind her - both men and women around the age of twenty-five. "Let me introduce everyone here: this is Rosendo, currently a student but my dad predicts that he will become a billionaire business genius in the future. Although he isn't one yet, it's best for all of you to get on his good side now because once he becomes a billionaire, it won't be so easy," Cheryl introduced Rosendo in a humorous way.
"Cheryl is just joking! If I were that amazing, I wouldn't be in such a sorry state right now," Rosendo modestly laughed.
"This can't be said like that. You should know that Mr. Willie is a very successful businessman. His high evaluation of you proves that your abilities are quite good. By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Buckle and I'm in the mobile phone business," Buckle smiled at Rosendo.
"I'm Lytton, selling clothes," introduced a mature beauty.
"I..."
Rosendo shook hands with each of them and then started discussing business with them. Willie didn't know where he heard Rosendo talking about business with others, so he also went to the room where Rosendo was staying. Fortunately, the rooms in this hotel villa were almost as big as regular living rooms; otherwise it would have been too crowded.
Willie was wealthy and influential, telling Rosendo not to bother with small businesses but instead work for him as an advisor for a monthly salary of one million dollars plus one percent stake in his Group as a benefit.
This treatment was extraordinary indeed, but who was Rosendo? He had seen all kinds of things in life and being under Willie's command wasn't much different from before; it felt like his talents were being wasted. So Rosendo straightforwardly declined.
Willie still wouldn't give up hope; he thought maybe Rosendo found the salary too low, so he added another million to the monthly pay, but even then Rosendo refused. Worried that Willie might get angry, Rosendo explained that he didn't like working for others; he preferred being his own boss.
Willie seemed to have great confidence in Rosendo because after listening to his words, instead of getting angry, he said he would support him by giving one million for doing business once Rosendo became successful on his own terms - just asking him to take care of his Group more often.
Willie was a multimillionaire with total assets worth billions; his high evaluation of Rosendo was enough to prove his worth. So other people also started asking Rosendo if there was anything they could help with.
Rosendo didn't like owing favors to others; he believed that repaying kindness was the hardest thing to do. Therefore, unless it was absolutely necessary, he would never ask for help from others. Rosendo made up his mind: he wanted to open an online store and temporarily sell some phones through Buckle, as well as some clothes for girls through Lytton. As for the rest, he would see how things went before deciding.
