Mishka looked through her wardrobe. She needed something for Saturday afternoon at Bruce's house. Something stylish and flamboyant, just in case they shot any valuable videos which could be used for a music production in future.
"Then, for Grandma's witches ball I will have to look dazzling as well as classically formal. Like a princess or at least the Lady of a great house," she told herself on the next day.
Work had not taken up much of her concentration at the office today because her mind had been on the coming Saturday's double schedule.
Mishka pulled out a few outfits and draped them over her armchair in the corner.
"Let me leave it there and then I can check them out later and make up my mind without stress. It's not gonna be good for me to stress. Let me get to the dance class and see if Gillian decided to show up," she told herself as she picked up her vehicle keys from her dressing table and walked out of her bedroom.
As she walked out the side door of the mansion, Mishka made herself a mental note.
"I should remember to practice on the back porch again. Dad agreed that it was a good idea and Grandma should get used to the idea that I'm gonna practice my songs wherever I feel inspired and wherever I can perform well," she told herself.
As she drove towards the dance studio venue on the outskirts of the city, Mishka was surprised to notice that the same car which had followed her on the previous day seemed to be following her again today.
"No ways! It can't be her again? Am I imagining things?" Mishka asked herself as she tried to check out the driver of the vehicle.
"It looks like it can be that same woman," Mishka remarked to herself.
"What to do now? She's not too close, so I can't outright accuse her of following me. But now, why would she be doing this? She must know who I am then? She can't be a crazy fan because I'm not really that well-known in music," Mishka told herself as she began to feel her stomach muscles contracting nervously.
"So then that can only mean that she want's something from me or wants to harm me," Mishka whispered.
"I should tell someone about this as soon as I get into the dance venue. I can't keep this to myself.
She's not following closely, so that means that she's not about to pull out a gun and abduct me by forcing me off the road," Mishka murmured as she tried to keep her eye on the vehicle behind her.
"If she comes closer I will take down her vehicle registration number so that Dad can find someone to look into this. Why would anyone follow me out of the blue now? What have I done that's unusual lately?" Mishka murmured as she tried to think.
Just as she pulled into the parking area of the shopping centre where the dance studio was, Mishka had a thought.
"My newest activity is, everything I had to do with Bruce or his company. That's the only unusual part of my routine. So, can this person be following me on Bruce's behalf? Is he perhaps checking me out in the background, Mishka asked herself out loud as she searched for a parking space.
She thought about this possibility for a moment.
"That, or some jealous model who thinks that I want to steal her from him?" Mishka asked herself as she got out of her vehicle.
She looked around herself carefully before walking towards the entrance of the building. Nobody seemed to be following her now.
"If someone is following me and it's that same blonde from yesterday, then it could even be that hostile-looking wolf in the woods the other day," Mishka told herself as she walked into the entrance of the shopping centre.
This thought made her stand still in her tracks.
"It makes sense if white werewolves are blondes in human form," Mishka thought to herself.
"Bruce did mention that it was a female wolf and she did seem territorial. Is this something that I want to get into? Do I have the courage to take on a jealous wolf? What do they even do? Is it all worth it?" she asked herself as her throat tightened in panic.
Mishka then walked on hastily.
"I have the nerve to attend Grandma's ball which might be full of witches and fortune-tellers, but the idea of a crazy stalker is too real to ignore. It can only be my imagination, but what if it's not?
Stalkers end up abducting people and they also end up killing their opposition. That happens in real life and up until now I have had none of that craziness in my life," Mishka whispered to herself as she entered the dance studio's change rooms.
"Hi, there you are!" Mishka heard behind her. She turned around quickly and was relieved to see Gillian coming up behind her.
"Hey there! I'm so glad to see you!" Mishka exclaimed as she took Gillian's arm and drew her aside.
"Listen, I have to tell you something quickly even before the class," Mishka whispered near Gillian's ear.
"What is it? You sound afraid?" Gillian responded.
Mishka had asked Gillian to attend another dance class instead of her gymn class tonight because she wanted to confide in her about Myrtle's invitation to a ball and discuss it with her in person. Now it seemed as if she had something more urgent to discuss instead.
"Do you know what happened yesterday while I was driving to your workplace?" Mishka asked in a low tone of voice.
"What? Yesterday, but you're only gonna tell me about it today?" Gillian asked with a concerned look in her eyes as she studied Mishka's troubled face.
"Oh, I was so taken up with everything that happened in Rose's place that I completely forgot about the incident, until it happened again today," Mishka replied as she looked around herself in the change room.
"I think it's only us in here. Now, what's freaking you out so bad?" Gillian asked as she tried to place all her focus on Mishka.
"Someone was following me yesterday and they followed me again today. I think it's a jealous female," Mishka responded with a deep frown between her brows.
"Oh, but that should go with the territory. You're an heiress as well as a talented singer, so why would you not have an obsessed fan or two?" Gillian asked.
"No, you're not getting it. This is unusual. It's not really a human who's following me. At least, I don't think so," Mishka responded, shaking her head at Gillian's statement.
"Now, I'm not with you. Are you saying that something inhuman is following you?" Gillian asked as she frowned at Mishka in concern. She was shuddering at her friend's statement.
"Oh, it's very hard to explain. I'm not talking about some spirit. I'm talking about something physical, but unnatural," Mishka responded in despair. She wanted Gillian to understand the seriousness about the situation, but without her having to talk about wolves to Gillian at this stage.
"It still sounds strange and like pretty much the same thing.
Anyway, they shouldn't be following you. We have to get help by telling someone about this, but who?" Gillian asked with a concerned frown on her brow.
"I supposed we should discuss it after the class. We're getting late," Mishka responded as she began to pull her dance clothes out of her bag.
"Let's change, you're right. But, if you're talking about supernatural stuff then I think that we should call in your grandmother or Rose's help," Gillian remarked as she began to put up her hair.
