"New relation,awkward touch"
"He thought he would be a burden on her"
"Hope is seen by him when she tells"
"I understand you,I understand you well"
Karina had already heard the news of William accepting her as his future wife. She was surprised to see the change of his mind but it also felt strange talking care of him knowing that he will be her future husband. She did like William because of his nature when they first met. He was calm, kind and caring. And now that very same man was to be her life partner.
Karina was stuck in these thoughts when William's mother knocked on the room. Karina opened the door and Gabriella came inside with a smile on her face.
"Did I disturb you?"
"No, Auntie you didn't. Is everything alright?" Karina asked her because Mrs Aidan could send a message for her through William's guard but her action of coming to Karina's room by herself spoke of something else.
"Dear I wanted to say something to you"
"Say what you want to Auntie" Gabriella then took out a box from her pocket and handed it to Karina who opened it to see a beautiful shiny golden locket inside it. It had a hook on it one end to connect it to the other end and a flower in its middle.
"Auntie it's so pretty" Karina said looking at the piece of jewellery.
"My mother gave it to me when my wedding with William's father came close" Karina on hearing this closed the box and quickly spoke
"Auntie then I can't take it. It must be very precious to you" Karina wanted her future mother in law to take the locket back from her knowing how much it must be valued by her.
"No dear,my mother told me that if she has a granddaughter then I should give this to her when she gets married but since we only have William that makes you our daughter" Gabriella had already accepted Karina into the family and so did her husband and son. She was to be treated as a daughter by them and treated as a queen by their son.
"But Auntie..."
"No,buts dear it's your now and also sit down I need to talk about something" Karina took the box inside of which was the golden locket which was kept by Gabriella for a long time but now the locket had a new owner.
The two sat on the bed. One which was the future daughter in law of the other. And the other was the future mother in law of the women sitting next to her. Both of them silent and Karina waited for William's mother to start speaking
"Karina dear your now about to be William's wife and it's going to be a great change in your life. That both of you know."Madam Gabriella being a wife and a mother knew that how hard it is for a women to manage her family along with the kids and so she had to tell her daughter in law about some important things.
"My dear William was innocent and naive. So easy to trick and people took advantage of him and he didn't ever see it. After that accident he lost all faith in love and humanity. She and her memories haunted my son and he couldn't forget about her. The betrayal she gave him was too much for him to get over" Karina already knew about William's tragic lovestory in which he didn't get the happy ending but she still listened to the women's words quietly. The women who wanted her son's story to be rewritten and give him a happy ending. She didn't want her son to be the Romeo who would live the rest of what's left waiting for the time of his death written in his scroll of life which noone could ever read while still suffering from the sorrow of his deceitful Juliet's death. Instead she wanted a happy ending which would have Karina and William as a together.
"Iam sorry"Karina told her. A child's pain is a mother's pain and those words had been accepted and proved in the world at many occasions and every single human had expertise about that.
"But Karina I want to see my son happy in his life. I don't want him to be alone when I leave and I want someone to take care of him. Someone who would stay with him and be his comfort. I chose you for my son because I trust you dear. We trusted Bryan and he didn't broke our trust and I know that you won't too" Gabriella said and took the box and opened it to take the locket out of it. She asked Karina to turn around and lifted her hair and closed the hook of the locket.
"Thank you" Karina said touching the locket whose chains were around her neck and the flower hung down.
"It's not a problem dear"said Mrs Gabriella and looked at the clock.
"Karina it's lunch time. Can you go and bring William back from the garden please?" Karina nodded as her lips formed a smile and she went outside. From downstairs she reached the garden outside and found him to there.
He was sitting on his wheelchair. A black shirt,he wore which hid his top body and denim jeans hid his bottom. His shoes were those which he wore everyday and his coal black hair was wet as he just took a bath a while ago. His pet was wandering in the garden getting himself messy so he could also have a bath like his master did. William's gray eyes were on his notebook and a pencil was in his hand as his pen ran out of ink. But the beauty of William's poetry wasn't in with what he used to write it. It was in his words, his thoughts, his mind and his eyes and how they would see the world. The world which destroyed him and still it didn't let him leave it yet.
Karina went to William who looked behind to see her and she told him that lunch was ready and he should come inside to eat. William turned to face Karina and then he looked away from her as if she was the sun,at which one couldn't look at for a long time. His mother believed that Karina would be the sun whose light will wash away the darkness from his life but William couldn't look at that sun for more then few seconds and he had his own reasons.
"William" Karina called him one more time only for him to say
"Iam not hungry" Karina to this reply of his told him
"You know that you can't take your pills being empty stomach"
"Then I will eat after some time. You should go and eat" Karina then sat down on th grass ground. The blades of grass touched her hands as she sat on the lush carpet spreaded on the ground.
"What are you doing?" William asked her confused still avoiding eye contact from her.
"Iam not going to eat unless you eat" Karina said looking at the flowers infront of her sight.
"You shouldn't do that" said William stopping his pencil in the middle of writing the words on the white surface of the paper.
"Neither should you" Karina looked at him. Her gaze full of care for him but he didn't look into those eyes. The eyes which didn't meet his from the start but the relation between them might make him have those eyes, her eyes all to himself.
"What were you writing? Karina questioned. She always saw William writing something on that notebook of his but she never bothered to ask.
"Just poems" William said closing the notebook, his pencil left inside the notebook which was full of his poems. His poems which were ruins of beauty. He was the ruins,a broken man but the beauty which were his words were perfect peices of the other in every phrase of his poems.
"Can I have a look?" William silently handed her the notebook. He wasn't shy to have others read what he thought about the world and everything in it. He wasn't afraid to answer the readers questions about anything because he was expressive even before the accident when poetry was never his hobby and even today when poetry was a part of him.
Karina opened the notebook only for the pencil to fall out and the pages which were clean a while ago but now had words written on them came before Karina's eyes and she started reading the poem which William was recently writing.
"A stained canvas, colours bleed and blend"
"Whispers of stories told, secrets unspun"
"Each hue a memory, each stroke a tale"
"Of joy and sorrow, love and pain"
"Splatters of red, like the beating heart"
"A fiery passion, a love torn apart"
"Blues of sadness, like a stormy sea"
"Waves of emotion crashing over me"
"Golden streaks of sunshine, a glimmer of hope"
"Amidst the darkness,a way to cope"
"A stained canvas, imperfect and raw"
"Reflecting life's beauty, its flaws"
"In every smudge, in every line"
"Lies a piece of me, a moment in time"
"A masterpiece in chaos, a work of art"
"A stained canvas, stictched on my heart"
"Its beautiful William." Karina said picking up the pencil from the ground ans giving William back what belonged to him.
"Thank you" William had his things back to him but he remained silent after that.
"William can I say something?" William finally looked into her orbs and she got his gray eyes to herself. His eyes were gray but the colours in which he saw the world were unlike any other. His vision about the simplest of things was admirable.
"Is that Mom's locket?" His eyes went on the golden locket around Karina's neck. He recognized the jewellary item in an instance as it was noone's else but the person who took the pain of bringing him into the world.
"Oh yeah she gave it to me"
"Hmm what were you about to say?" William then brought the talk to what Karina wanted to say to him. Karina letted out a deep breath and then her feelings came out.
"William I know that you may be unsure about this desicion of yours but I like you, I truely do and the reason I agreed to marry you is because I actually have affection towards you. It may not be love as you won't call it that but just know that I never saw the William who you were. I saw you as what you are right now. The kindest man ever known to me after my brother. The one who doesn't actually carry a gun" William smiled at the last part of her sentence. Bryan was his best man and like a brother but the most important part of his duty was to make them expire who meant harm to his master's son.
"But William I don't want you to force yourself in this. Your mother wants to see you happy with me but it would be of no use if your not happy with me. If your not happy now and my presence won't make a difference in your life then its of no use William. You won't need me then" Karina spoke and her words hurt William. He knew that Karina meant every word of what she said and he also knew that she was right.
"Iam sorry for my attitude but it was because I thought that no one will understand me. Not even you" William gave his hand to Karina as a support so that she could easily get up from the ground.
"But iam glad that your someone who cared to understand me in a short while" It hadn't been a long period since Karina arrived at the mansion taking Jurin's job as William's caregiver but now that caregiver will become his wife.
"I understand you William but..." Karina didn't talk anymore after these few words making William question
"But?"
"But you also need to listen to me now and eat lunch" To this William gave Karina the small gift of a smile on his face, an actual smile which was rare to see on his angelic face. When he smiled his teeth were seen by the eyes.
The two then started to go back inside the mansion not knowing that Karina's brother and William's mother hadn't started eating as it was one of the rules which everyone in the house followed. They were supposed to eat together even if it gets late. That was how it was when they family lived together in the same mansion ans were not separated by the distance of miles away from each other. However what the two didn't know was that Bryan and his Madam Gabriella were looking at them from afar. They couldn't hear what they were saying but the signs of understanding and a good relationship were infront of them and it made both of them happy. They then quickly rushed to the dining room and sat on the chairs and waited for the couple to come inside the room.
"Iam so lucky to have found a perfect partner for my son" said Madam Gabriella to Bryan while smiling full of excitement for the future.
"My sister is also very lucky to have William as a husband who has always been a brother to me"
Thus the two celebrated the completion of the construction of a healthy relationship between one's sister and the other's son.
