Chapter 4 - CHAINED FATES

Iris experienced a shiver run down her spine as she heard his cold voice, causing her body to feel almost frozen. Her eyes were filled with anger and she eagerly awaited for someone to rescue her from that dreadful place.

Lucius noticed Iris standing by the door and couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of her trembling body. He crouched down in front of her and gently caressed her cheek with a smirk on his face. "My, my, what do we have here? Looks like a little obedient angel has stumbled into my den," he remarked.

Iris glared back at him, her eyes filled with fury. "Do not mistake my compliance for weakness. I will not fall for your deceitful ways," she retorted.

Lucius couldn't help but mock her response. "Oh, my dear, sweet angel, are you scared of the big, bad devil? Don't worry, I promise not to bite...unless you ask me to," he said with a sly grin.

As he left the room with a smirk, Iris couldn't help but suppress the surge of emotions welling up inside her. She pondered over the futility of being a skilled swordsman without the freedom to use it. She wondered how much longer she had to wait to break free from the shackles that bound her. She clutched the ring tightly in her hand as she drowned in her misery, yearning for a place where no one had ever been. Then, she drifted into a dream, only to wake up in the exact location where she had taken the ring out.

As she gazed up toward the sky, she saw the sky covered by a thick and ominous black cloud. The fog around the forest seemed like lurking and creeping its way through the kingdom, leaving an eerie feeling in its wake while smog began to envelop the entire environment, shrouding everything in a daunting cloak of dust. Iris stepped cautiously and carefully, her senses on high alert as she maneuvered her way around the mysterious fog, trying to make sense of the otherworldly atmosphere around her. As she was walking around the mist, partially able to see.

The shadow again appeared in front of her. Now that shadow had a more clear face. As he strode into the mist, Iris couldn't help but feel a sense of unease wash over her. He looked like a man of importance, with his crisp, black suit and polished shoes. His chiseled features were handsome, but there was something about the way he carried himself that made her feel small and insignificant in comparison.
