Iris diverted her mind from that shadow-like figure, thinking it could be her hallucination. Despite her effort, she felt the abnormal presence of that thing, getting chills with each step in terror. She ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest. Behind her, she could hear the sound of something chasing her. She didn't dare look back, afraid that she would see the figure that has been haunting her right now.
She had tried everything to get rid of it, but it seemed to be getting stronger with each passing minute. As she rounded a corner, she stumbled and fell, scraping her knee on the pavement. She scrambled to her feet and started running again, ignoring the pain. She couldn't let the shadow catch her. She had to keep running. That shadow continued to pursue her quietly with his dreary eyes that appeared vacant, gazing at her blankly as if it wanted to search for something he was not sure of.
Iris went furious after a while. She seemed confused as she was unsure what to do in that circumstance," Is that thing just going to follow me like that," she thought. It was nearly time when she took her sword, holding it very cautiously to slay that thing. Iris got the boldness to look at that thing's eyes, As she turned, it gave her a slight smile " I will come to meet you soon, my saver ". Then, the shadow gradually dissipated into the mist, disappearing very rapidly until it was no longer visible to her eye.
NOTE - That figure presented a rather unsettling appearance, with a complexion that was noticeably lacking in color a slender physique that emphasized their tall stature, and a facial expression reminiscent of a death mask suspended from a bony structure. His eyes, in particular, gave off an eerie vibe, appearing as dark voids. In addition, his lips were parched and coarse to the touch.
Iris was shocked and unable to process what was happening, her thoughts and emotions in turmoil. Without Iris realizing it, an unseen force seized her from behind, holding her firmly. To her surprise, it turned out to be the prince himself. "You need to come with me now, Iris. If not, I will have to carry you," he spoke in a tone filled with anger. "I won't run ," she said, not wanting to be chased again. Then they mounted their horse to made their way through the forests.
