Chapter 21 - Who Are You? (4)

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten. Eleven. Twelve.

There were a total of twelve individuals who surrounded me from the air and ground both combined.

Among them were four individuals who didn't pose their weapons towards me but were rather waiting for the drop of the massive stones; however, the initial stones that I released on them one by one were dropping them from a height of almost ten meters.

And these initial cuboid stones were destroyed by the individuals on the magnetic bikes.

They found it pretty comfortable to destroy the one-by-one falling stone cuboids, and this gave them a general idea of how I dropped objects.

One-by-one?

Naah.

Not even a blink passed before the individuals surrounding me could think of anything.

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine. Ten.

On each of the twelve individuals, ten cuboid-shaped stones of length 5 meters and width and height 1 meters, just above there had not even at hairs distance, the cuboid-shaped stones fell on them like rain.

None of them could react.

None of them knew what transpired.

THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!

And in an instance of blinking, one stone after another fell on them and squished them to the ground.

I collected everything below the road, and the volume I collected was of the hemisphere that originated with me as the center, whose radius was 50 meters and whose volume surmounted to approximately 523598 cubic meters, and that could have led me to collect a grand total of 104,719 cuboid stones of the dimension I had mentioned earlier, but the amount of cuboid-shaped stone I collect was nearly one thousand.

The individuals were squished on the road, and the road caved in a bit by the weight of 10 heavy stones falling from a certain height; for the individuals who were already on the ground, the road didn't cave in, but they too were squished and made into human paste.

Splash! Roll!

A large chunk of blood from that distance splattered onto my face, and a head slightly caved in came rolling towards me.

Dust and debris rose into the air again, but not enough to lower the visibility or sense of smell from the surroundings.

Step! Step!

I took a few steps back.

Hoooo!

Hoooo!

The pungent smell of the blood entered my nostrils, and my breath grew heavy.

I wasn't going to deny the reality that I had killed someone with my hands.

But the scent of the blood was making my brain grow cold.

I looked at the rolled head coming towards me. Eyes open, blood covered everything; even the hair and cheeks were doused in blood.

The emotion this head was expressing was that of vigilance, and I knew what vigilance was—vigilance against the dropping of stones from a distance.

But he didn't even realize that he died; he was vigilant against the stones that fell from a distance in the air, but the stones that killed him dropped just above his head and not even at a hair's distance.

Hoo!

Hoo!

I panted.

I could feel the warmth of the blood that spilled on my face.

Why? Why? Why? Why? ...?

I wasn't denying reality, but why?

What was his inexplicable feeling that creeped into my heart?

Sorrow?

Guilt for killing him?

No. No. No. Not at all.

This was different.

Yes, I did feel a bit guilty for doing what I had done to someone who was just...

No.

I killed him.

And that was the fact; nothing could change that.

But I did that in self-defense.

Was I consoling myself?

No.

I was reminding myself that if I hadn't killed them, that head would have been mine.

'Scary!'

Scary!

Extremely Scary!

Now I understood how scary this world could be.

Thud!

As I took steps back, I fell on my ass.

"Fucking nightmare!"

This was going to be a nightmare. I killed someone, though in self-defence.

I don't know if this could have played differently, but...

I stretched my hands to the back and put them on the ground for support, and I sat that way, tilting my head around.

My panting had stopped.

The splattered blood on my face and its smell made my nose go numb, and my brain and body weren't ready to do anything.

'No, I don't need any information anymore; I just want rest and to close my eyes. Fuck!'

The moment I closed my eyes, the head appeared like a jinni.

Two days.

These past two days felt like more than sixteen years of my life.

In the past two days, I smelled blood for the second time, but the second time it was not my blood.

"It's time to put things to an end."

'Release!' 'Release!' 'Release!' 'Release!' 'Release!' ...' Release!'

In a bulk of 50 stones at a time, I released all the cuboid-shaped stones I had collected.

I released all of them!

Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud! ...Thud!

The continuous sound of stones falling rang, and it made my ears go numb.

Screams were mixed in with them too.

I didn't care, because most of them didn't even reach my ears.

I turned my head to the distant hologram figure of myself, now Allen Liquidator, along with being the Allen Caliber in the cultivation world.

I tried standing up but had difficulties as if my legs too, wanted to go numb.

Trying to stand up, I stumbled and staggered like a drunkard.

The scent of warm blood filled my nose, and my head spun with dizziness. Uncertain of where I was headed, I continued walking, my steps faltering.

ZAP! ZAP!

"AHHHHH!" The excruciating pain tore through my body, and I instinctively clutched my right hand, now with a gaping hole that seared with agony.

Not realizing when an energy bullet pierced my hands.

"AHHHHH!"

Collapsing to the ground, I held my bleeding hands, my face still smeared with splattered blood, its warmth mixed with the stream of tears flowing down my cheeks.

"AHHH!" My screams echoed in agonizing cries, the tears and snorts blending with the crimson hue covering my face.

"You bastard!" An angry shout pierced through the chaos from somewhere behind me.

The familiar sound reached my ears.

It was her.

The voluptuous lady

Realizing who was responsible for this wretched pain, my mind struggled to focus amidst the torment. My body contorted in pain, unable to turn or retaliate.

"C-c-collect!" I yelled, my voice shaking from the pain and desperation.

My consciousness began slipping away, the pain throbbing relentlessly in my head. Somehow, my scattered thoughts led me to collect a massive boulder-sized rock from beneath the ground.

"R-re-lease!"

I collapsed, unable to bear the mental burden any longer.

'No, I can't!'

'Not here, I can't!'

Even in the depths of suffering, I fought to hold onto consciousness.

This treacherous place

It demanded my full awareness, for it could be my undoing.

Thud!

The thunderous sound of boulders crashing reverberated around me, raising a cloud of choking dust.

Knock!

A stone from the gusty wind struck my body and head, mercilessly knocking me into unconsciousness.

As my consciousness faded away, the weight of my actions bore down on me.

'I killed them all.'

'I had no choice.'

'Still, it's terrifying.'

Darkness enveloped me, and I sank into oblivion, haunted by the horrors I had witnessed and the violence I had unleashed.
