Chapter 30 - Get Jumped!

Once Turnner reached the building, he noticed it was a grain silo. With a big warehouse in the middle. As he stood there, a voice behind him said, "I hear you're capable of surviving certain death; is that true?"

Turnner looked back and saw Victoria, then replied, "Ah, the long-haired one. Let me guess your Victoria."

The woman frowned. "How do you know my name?"

Turnner turned around fully, "I know a lot about you two, but that doesn't matter. Where's Amelia?"

"Don't worry about her; she won't matter to you if you're dead." The woman answered with a sinister smile.

Then a sniper bullet struck Turnner's head and sent him staggering to the side.

"That was a lethal bullet." The woman stated.

Turnner looked up at her and smirked, "And I'm still alive, so the rumor's true."

"How'd you survive?" The woman asked, tilting her head to the side.

But without an answer, Turnner lunged at her with a kick, "You'll die before I find you."

Victoria narrowly dodged the attack and replied, "I'm not foolish enough to fight you, Turnner."

Turnner clenched his fist to dash at her from the air, but sensed something incoming and jumped away just before a massive snake ripped through the warehouse and divided the two of them. It was a long, scaly green snake. Turnner landed on the ground and stared at her Victoria from the other side, who said, "Where's Theatom Turnner?"

Turnner's eyes narrowed as he replied, "I don't have it, and I know you won't kill Amelia, so what's all this for."

"To capture you and take the Theatom ourselves, you may be able to survive death, but now we shall test if there's a limit."

Just then Victoria jumped away, and five assassins moved in on Turnner from all corners. Each one was wearing a black jumpsuit that zipped up to their necks, including a black mask. One of the six threw six grenades at Turnner's feet.

"BOOOOOM!"

"BOOOOOOM!"

They exploded just after Turnner jumped away; however, while in the air, a spear suddenly pierced through his chest. He gnashed his teeth and spun around with a punch, but the assasin ducked and pulled the spear out of Turnner's back.

As soon as he landed on the ground, another one appeared by his stomach with his fist and part of his arm looking completely gray like concrete, and he punched Turnner in the stomach with extreme force, propelling him far into the distance.

Turnner hit the ground several times and rolled until he came to a stop. Bruises and cuts covered his body, and his suit had long been torn off, leaving only his suit vest and shirt. He slowly got on his knees, still disoriented from the punch, but without any warning, the same snake rushed through the forest and bit off half of his body.

For a moment he remained there, not regenerating as the snake slithered by. Then Turnner's body regrew, and he smiled to the heavens as another assassin, holding a knife in his hand and pointing downward, ran on top of the snake towards Turnner.

He leaped at Turnner, who lunged at him also. Turnner opened his hand and swung it at the man as the two passed each other, and when they landed the man collapsed into pieces.

"Who's next!" Turner shouted with a rush of adrenaline coursing through his body. Only to be met with a great explosion beneath him, which he jumped away from, but right after he landed, he black flipped away from another, then another, and three more until he was cornered by three grenades, so Turnner jumped into the air to avoid them.

  "BOOM!"

This is when the spear assassin appeared behind him to stab him in the back, but Turnner noticed him this time and blocked the spear. So he kept swinging and juking it at Turnner as they moved through the forest, but Turnner avoided each attack until he grabbed the spear and pulled the assassin to him.

Then he punched him in the face and drove the spear through his chest. The man tried to retaliate, but Turnner ran through the forest and pinned him firmly to the tree. He struggled to free himself as Turnner looked around for more assassins. His heart was beating ferociously and sweat permeated his skin.

Finally he relaxed and looked at himself, thinking he was safe, but suddenly a short but fat double-edged sword appeared next to his neck, and three grenades were balanced at the edge of the blade. The blade swiftly cut off Turnner's head, and the grenades exploded.

  "BOOOM!"

The explosion flung Turnner away. Until he regained his balance and dug his feet into the ground. Afterwards, he regenerated his head and immediately saw two grenades coming at him, one behind the other. Turnner reacted quickly and slapped away each one.

However, he was almost impaled by the sword that followed right after, but he grabbed it by the blade and then grabbed the hand as he darted at the Grenade Assassin. His face tensed, and he started spawning grenades in his hand and throwing them at Turnner.

But Turnner effortlessly sliced and knocked them away with the sword, causing the booms to explode, and then he sliced off the assassin's head. Afterward, Turnner spun around and drove the sword through his heart. Blood spewed from the man's mouth as he stared at the tree leaves shaking in the wind.

The faint light from the sun's rays reflected in his eyes and he started to make grenades appear from all over his body and fall to the ground. When Turnner saw this, he jumped away, and the bombs exploded. Destroying the assassin's body completely.

As he moved in the air, Turnner saw the green snake rushing at him from the side of his eye. So he quickly turned around and punched the creature in the nose, ripping apart its flesh and skin entirely. The intestines and blood spilled all over the floor, and not long after, the snake started to regenerate.

Another assassin stood at the snake's tail, staring at Turnner, saying to herself, "To think he ended and destroyed the Snake God so easily, how could someone have such a large XP reserve? Even if you killed humans, carnivores, or simply trained and built your XP slowly, you couldn't reach that level."

As she spoke, Turnner walked up to her and said, "I take it you're the one that's been sending the snake at me?"

"Yes, but don't get worked up. I've already given up on beating you."

"Wise decision, but I have a question for you before I go. Do you know where they are keeping Amelia Sanchez?" Turnner asked with his hands clenched. He was keeping an eye on his surroundings since he didn't trust the woman's calm behavior.

She took a small piece of paper with numbers written on it and handed it to Turnner, saying, "I was told to give you this if you survived; it contains the girl's location.

Turnner reached out for the paper but grabbed the woman's hand and pulled her to him. Then he used his other hand and hit her in the neck, knocking her out cold. He then grabbed her by the hand and dragged her to the ground as he made his way down the path.

Soon Turnner was walking on the dirt road that led to the silo and saw the agency SUVs pulled up at the side of the road. Noria, Toktio, and Trent rushed towards Turnner, who threw the woman on the ground and said, "I got jumped and managed to beat four of them. This one I was able to retrieve. Interrogate her if you have any questions or need any information. I have to go. Then he disappeared.
