Turnner pulled on the metal doors, but they wouldn't budge. That's when Trent recalled something and said, "Oh, yeah, those metal doors don't open."
Turnner turned around and looked at him, saying, "You could've said that a while ago."
"I know it slipped my mind to tell you."
"What about the stairs?" Amelia asked, pointing to their right. There were some stars that went up to the next floor, so they decided to go up and see what was up there. When they reached the top of the stairs. They saw that the floor had a big rectangle hole in the middle that went straight down to the spawning room below.
The three of them approached the railings calmly, hoping to see an empty room, but instead it was the same gore. What looked like teenage children were lying on the ground in piles, dead. Blood stained the concrete floors, and pools of blood formed in some circle holes on the ground. Which were in the middle of the room in a straight line, spaced out from one another equally.
It was a dreadful sight. Anger welled up in Amelia as she stared at the children, limbs ripped apart, bodies sliced in half, and some of their faces disfigured. "Who in their right mind would do something like this?" she asked, disgusted.
"I expect nothing less from Mitch; he always likes to make a statement."
Trent retorted what Turnner said, "A statement? This is insane. Wait." He looked at Turnner. "Why are you acting so cool? Aren't you at least a bit distraught?"
"I've seen the worst; trust me, Trent, this is nothing."
Trent took another look at the dead children, pondering what Turnner could have seen that was worse than this, and then he said, "That's right, I'm reporting this to the agency right now."
Trent pulled out his black phone to make a call, but before he could, Amelia shouted, "Look over there, a child is spawning."
Everyone looked in that direction—in one of the circle holes on the ground filled with blood and within one of the holes. What looked like an arm stuck out from the blood pool. Continuously generating, and at the other end of the circle, a foot was also generating. The child was in a crawling position.
After about a minute, the body had fully generated, and a naked girl got up. She looked like a teenager, about 16 years old. Her hands were bloody, and so were her feet. She stared at her hands as her brain began to absorb information.
(Narrator) In this world, children spawn as young adults around the age of 16–18, but the reality is that they are like infants and have little knowledge about their surroundings. However, their developed bodies make it easy for them to learn about and understand the world they've come to and take in the information. Each child is born with eight hearts, like an adult, and ages until they reach 20 years old. After that, they remain young because of immortality.
She was about to walk when an arm lying close to her flipped over and lunged at the child from behind. It drove itself through her back and protruded out of the front of her chest. The kids' eyes watered, and tears ran down her face and she began to cry. Amelia immediately jumped on the railing, and everyone shifted their focus to her.
She reached for her sword, and in a fluid motion, she lunged at the hand and slashed it. Amelia looked around only to see more body parts starting to move: hands, feet, heads, and bodies without heads came alive and dashed at her. Amelia shouted, "Get behind me!" stretching her hand in front of the child to protect her.
However, when she looked at the girl, her head was cocked back, and she stared down Amelia with a dreadful expression. Amelia tensed, confused by what she was seeing, and then the child swiftly turned around and dashed at her. Her mouth was wide open, as if she wanted to bite Amelia on the neck.
Amelia didn't know what to do; she didn't want to attack the child, nor did she want to be bitten, but her survival instinct took over, and she slashed the child. A sudden sense of guilt overtook her as she stared at the girl's body now split in half, but there wasn't much time to regret because the body parts had already jumped at her, so she turned around and began to slash them.
Trent decided to join the fight and darted at the limbs, slicing several. In the midst of the fight, he shouted, "Why did you slice the girl."
Amelia slashed a foot and hand before answering, "I had no choice."
"You could have moved out of the way."
She opened her mouth to answer but closed it, realising Trent was right. Instead, she kept slashing until the body parts stopped coming.
"It stopped," Trent stated.
All of the limbs suddenly stopped coming to life. Everything now lay motionless. Lucas finally decided to go down there to see what he could do, but Turnner stopped him and said, Wait, Lucas, I have a question."
Lucas, who had his hands on the railing, looked back at Turnner and asked, "What?"
"What's Amelia's God contract?"
"Why do you want to know?"
"I'm getting an understanding of allies abilities."
"Sounds like bullshit, but whatever, She has a contract with the Combat God."
"I see."
Right after the conversation, Trent noticed the bodies starting to move and said, "It is starting to move again."
"Hu?" Amelia voiced noticing it also.
They were moving together, the blood and body parts joining together to create a woman, and then the limbs joining with each other to create extremely long arms that she used to stand up. Which caused her body to be lifted into the air.
"What the hell?" Trent spoke softly as he watched.
Turnner realised what was happening and said, "There's no doubt about it; a God has appeared."
"But that's impossible." Lucas retorted, staring at the creature as it joined itself together.
About 10 hands coming out of her back on each side act as legs, while the main body, which was human, had normal hands. Although it was naked, there were genitals, and it lacked nipples on the breast. It was like the perfect spider human, But it lacked a head, so out of the remaining pile of dead children One of the arms grabbed a woman's head and attached it to the body.
"Delightful," the now towering creature said in a woman's voice. She opened her eyes and looked at Amelia and Trent, saying, "Now then." She pointed at them and said, "Go insane!"
Immediately, some of the arms lunged at them, and others lunged at Lucas and Turnner. So everyone sprung into action. Trent pulled out his sword, but it wasn't the black one, and Amelia began to fight it by slashing and hacking at the arms, which were regenerating quickly.
Turnner and Lucas made a run for it. The upper floor was situated in such a way that there was an open hallway that wrapped around the rectangle spawning room below, and above the room was a skylight.
Lucas turned and ran up some stairs right behind him, while Turnner darted down the hallway and rushed up the stairs at the end of it. All the while, the two hands followed each of them up the winding stairs. It hit the walls and rails wildly as it pursed Turnner.
Finally, Turnner reached the little room at the top of the building with a door that led to the roof of the building. He hurriedly kicked the door open and exited; he shifted his position to the side of the exit and let his hands shoot out the door with great force, going far into the air.
Lucas also exited another door that led to the top of the roof. Amelia and Trent also exited the building, but at the front door. They were in close combat with the creature's arms. All the while, Turnner kept thinking, "God only appears when there's a large emotional upsurge of hate and fear for that specific concept, even if the dead felt the situation was insane and feared whoever did this."
"Those emotions have long died off, so how did this God appear?" He asked himself, looking at the hands in the air that now turned and darted at him. On seeing this, Turnner exclaimed, "This just proves we don't know the half about Gods!"
Lucas, who had restrained the arms using his hands, heard Turnner and looked around at him, only to see him clench his fist and punch both of the arms coming at him. Which caused them to rip apart and eat away. Then suddenly the God burst out of the roof, rupturing the concrete and causing both Lucas and Turnner to jump into the air.
Amelia and Trent now realised why the arms had retracted and stopped fighting them as they looked at the massive creature towering out of the building. Amelia now looked at Trent and said, "It's a God, isn't it?"
"Yea."
"It looks like you're going to have to use the black-handled sword."
"I didn't want to, but that seems to be the case." Trent replied as they leaped onto what was left of the four-story building's roof.
