The men entered the cabin, and Jerry instinctively took a step back, his heart racing with uncertainty. But to his astonishment, Lydia calmly greeted the men, as if she had expected their arrival.
"Good evening, gentlemen," Lydia said with a confident smile. "I trust everything is in order?"
One of the men nodded and replied, "Yes, everything is ready as you requested."
Without saying a word, Lydia gestured towards Jerry, and the men immediately understood their task. They moved towards him, and before he could react, they delivered a swift, but controlled, beating.
Jerry winced in pain, unable to comprehend what was happening. He looked at Lydia, hoping for some explanation, but she simply stood there, her expression cold and unyielding.
When the men had finished, they stepped back, and Lydia spoke again, her voice devoid of any emotion. "Consider this a lesson, Jerry. No one toys with my heart and gets away with it."
