Richmond wasn't really surprised by the cat's speech ability, if humans can turn into werewolves, a talking cat should not be much of a surprise.
"Why were you trapped?" He asked. His face was devoid of emotions.
Richmond's voidful face scared the cat, it couldn't read his face and he couldn't tell his thoughts.
The cat was surprised at the human's lack of surprise at his ability, "you are not surprised."
Richmond didn't answer him but instead, he tightened his grip on the cat. The cat became alarmed and begged for his life, "Please don't kill me, I was left in a cage for three days without tasting even a sip of blood and as a vampire, it is pure torture," he said, trying to gain pity from the strange man.
Richmond wasn't fooled by its begging, afterall, Anne showed it pity and it wanted to bite her if not that he was there to stop it, "I won't repeat myself, why were you trapped in silvered nails?"
