Morpheus charged into the Leviathan and tried to land a strike, but was soon delayed as the snake spewed poison that destroyed his momentum. It was a large patch of dark purple goo that was thrown to the ground, surging with danger.
Francis's sword was coated with light as he wielded the aura of a weapon capable of slaying the beast. He closed the distance at lightning speed, and the snake was shocked by the rate at which he reached.
Following up was Moltar with his spear, jetting through the battlefield, flying through the air, and taking his spear and aiming for the head. The snake deflected both their attacks with a loud scream that made them fall backward due to the wind pressure it produced.
Both were thrown to the ground, and smoke covered the area. The ashes danced and the wind hailed dust as it crossed. Standing in the middle of the dust and ash that rose from the ground were silhouettes holding each weapon with a sharp glow of different colors.
"Isn't this amazing, Moltar? It is just like the war when both of us were still on the front line duty."
"Yeah, kinda nostalgic when you think about it. Let's end this quickly, Francis. Things like this only get worse."
Soon, the smoke disappeared, revealing their faces with confidence and intent to kill. They both gripped their weapons with intensity.
Morpheus once again charged toward the snake at its side. The snake quickly counterattacked with its jaw, biting his leg and Morpheus's body. The snake tried to coil itself around the large creature but was unable to do so. Francis gave a follow-up by slashing the side of the body while Moltar aimed for the head.
They both dealt lacerations that embedded through the snake's thick skin. Sadly, they proved ineffective as the wounds were too shallow.
They fought with intensity, continuing to ravage the land with their fight. The ground echoed with despair every time Morpheus took a step. The snake moved around too quickly for them to properly react. Annoyed by this, Morpheus stepped on it once more, catching its tail.
But it was enough to properly pin it, as both men began to charge up their attacks. Flashes of lightning bellowed and fires reached the divine realm as they both unleashed their power, living up to being captains. They were on the snake's body, harassing it with lacerations and slashes that rendered it unable to react or move.
The snake's piercing scream once again reverberated through the ears of everyone. Arthas covered his hands as he watched the fight. He was amazed by what they could truly do, yet also terrified. He wasn't sure if he could even last one second against them.
The Leviathan bit Morpheus's ankle, causing him to release his hold on the large body he was pinning. The bite also injured his ankle, making it difficult for him to walk. He limped away to compose himself.
Arthas watched with intent as they fought with precision and strength, exploring every possible option that would allow them to kill the snake.
They continued to corner the snake as Morpheus charged from the front to keep it at bay. However, it was too fast, wiggling and slithering across the battlefield. It was still trying to escape.
The snake kept backing off and when at a proper distance, shot poison. Arthas looked on helplessly; he lacked the strength to intervene. Nemesis was by his side, watching alongside him.
"Hey, they seem to be struggling. Do you want to help them?" Arthas looked at Nemesis with a meaningful gaze, sitting by the sidelines to discuss the fight.
Nemesis didn't answer but instead focused on the battle in front of them. The trio was putting in great effort to defeat the snake, but it was slippery and fast, continuously evading and spitting poison. Morpheus was already tired, and both Francis and Moltar were running low on stamina and strength.
"If they weren't that tired, they probably would have fought that thing much more effectively," Arthas mused, placing his hand on his chin while observing.
In this moment, time seemed to slow down. Arthas found himself in a trance, exhausted by everything he had experienced. Memories and events flooded back to him, everything that had led him to this point.
'It's only been a few days since I spawned in this world. So much has changed, and there are many things that still confuse me. It's kind of amazing that I'm still alive, to be honest.' He looked at Nemesis and Morpheus running around. 'I guess I wouldn't be alive if not for you, big guy.'
He adjusted his posture, continuing his mental reflection. 'The tax collectors, the village, and now I'm here, feeling lost about where to go next. I'm exhausted.'
As he ruminated, everything seemed to slow further. Memories flooded his mind, and he felt overwhelmed by the weight of his experiences.
"They never said isekai would be easy. It's hard, especially when the world you know changes. It's difficult. Things are so different and confusing. Does anyone who wishes for an isekai adventure think about how tough it could be? Damn."
He sighed deeply and staggered to his feet. Nemesis glanced at him as if asking, 'What are you doing?'
Arthas sighed again. "I think we've seen enough. I've studied its movements. It's quite straightforward if you observe from a distance. Nemesis, I believe we've rested enough, right? I want to end this now... I'm tired."
Nemesis snorted in response to his remarks, indicating his agreement. Smoke once again emanated from his body, flames growing brighter. His eyes burned with determination, and a serious demeanor suggested he was ready to finish the battle.
"Atta boy, let's finish this." Arthas smiled broadly, making a full turn toward the struggling snake.
Nemesis returned the smile, and they moved together toward the snake. With every stride, Nemesis exuded a sense of pride and burning passion. Flames on his back blazed brighter, shifting from their original hues to a bright blue, then darkening to a deep shade of blue that matched the sky above. The ground beneath him heated up, and the air wavered from the rising temperature.
The azure flames in his eyes burned with intensity, and his every breath appeared as smoke and flames. Arthas was once again awed by the power Nemesis possessed.
"Hey Nemesis, when did you discover you could do that?" Arthas inquired, his curiosity piqued about Nemesis's transformation.
Nemesis responded with a deep growl, his gaze fixed on Arthas. From what Arthas understood, it seemed that Nemesis had only recently discovered this ability and the intensity of the battle was what triggered it. It was like a final boss's ultimate form.
Though Arthas didn't fully grasp the specifics, he continued with praise and encouragement for Nemesis.
Nesis charged through the battlefield, leaving flaming marks in his wake as he menacingly approached the snake. The snake attempted to dodge, but Morpheus blocked its path from one side. When it tried to move the other way, Moltar and Francis were there to prevent its escape. The smoke had long dissipated since their earlier clash. Desperate, the snake released toxic fumes once again in an attempt to create a cover for its escape.
It hoped this tactic would provide enough distraction to get away, but Nemesis was undeterred. He charged through the smoke, explosions following in his wake. Within moments, Nemesis had grabbed the snake's body and thrown it using his mouth. The snake soared a few meters through the air before landing heavily on the ground.
The snake struggled to move, its perception of the world spinning as it experienced dizziness. Arthas approached it with an emotionless yet weary expression, flames crawling up his arm.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Snake. I'm Arthas. Have fun in hell" Arthas smiled with a mischievous expression.
He then snapped his fingers and a sound echoed in the midst of silence. A sudden wave of fire flowed up to the sky, invigorating flames decimated the entirety of the Leviathan, it screamed with pain and sorrow as it was left with no more energy to move properly.
'It takes a lot to kill this thing, even with 2 rexes its hard'
Arthas looked at it and laughed as if it was a funny situation, how powerful must this snake be to actually withstand a lot.
'This bullshit be over soon though, at least he smells tasty, now I'm getting hungry'
The smoked snake was down on the ground, heavily breathing lacerations all over his body with a cut off tail. It seemed dead, unmoving from its spot. Arthas turned around thinking it was over.
Without warning the snake lunged at Arthas with swift speeds, it seemed like Arthas was gonna get hurt from the perspective of others. The hearts of everyone beat faster as they watch Arthas.
Time slowed down, it was as if everything was showing everything frame by frame, everyone was worried but for Arthas he was thinking of another thing.
'Yeah, damn I forgot the double tap thing.'
The snake wasn't going down without a fight as it took on its final struggle. Arthas didn't seem fazed as he continued to walk, the cloak fluttering behind him.
"Fuck off, bitch"
With those words, his eyes glowed in azure spectral color that radiates flames of ever burning temperature. Heavy Dark Blue flames inaugurated death to the snake as it burned through the hottest fire. It continued to burn through a couple of seconds before the snake fell down to the ground.
With that ensuring its crispy hot death.
Arthas continued to walk as blue flames charred the surroundings, with his cloak trending an irregular motion from the wind. His dark hair and blue flaming eyes made him garner the regality of death itself as he exudes the majesty of a king.
