Klaus is not having a day. He can't do anything about it without the system's help. So he pushed away those thoughts for now and decided to enjoy the party at night. What he didn't know is that the true twist and life hurdle are waiting to make an appearance at the party.
Usually, Klaus hated to dress in the manner of nobles for the gatherings. He felt like a clown. They wear three clothes, one over the other. In addition, there are a lot of decorations, which state that he escaped from a circus if he was in his past world.
Today he can't escape as he usually does. He skipped most of the noble gatherings at his house or invitations for his family to attend somewhere. When he was little he didn't need much to attend. After that, he got the excuse of business and skipped them.
Today is different though. He is the major clown. The clown in the spotlight. He can't just escape. If he tried to skip his own birthday party, there would be definitely hell to pay for.
After a long dress-up, Klaus made an entrance to the party.
At a glance, Klaus could say there are a lot of people, important people present at the party.
As the birthday party of the son of the Archduke, many nobles who served under the Emsier family had to attend the event or it would be considered rude.
Though the transportation system of this world is crude, it developed differently for better or worse. Many mages tamed monsters as their mounts. The ones who discovered that their talent lies in taming would tame a few monsters and open a transport service.
Anyone with money can rent a mount for a certain amount of time or for a trip. Many nobles do use this service when they were in a hurry. There are both ground mounts and aerial mounts but the service mostly provides aerial services. If one was in a hurry what would be the point of hiring a ground mount which has several restrictions compared to an aerial mount?
Anyhow, Klaus started to mingle with the people who attended the party. He tagged alongside his father who took the role of introducing him to others. Some of these nobles, he already met in the archduchy when he expanded his business.
Low-level nobles and the ones outside the archduchy are the ones who needed to be introduced to him. He accepted his fate as a clown, for two reasons. One was his father and the other was his expansion plans.
Though he has no plans to expand outside Archduchy for now, he would one day. Today would be the introductions of some people who rule the territories useful for the expansion.
He kept a smile on his face though he could see that many nobles only showed interest because they either heard about his products or because of his father.
There were a few genuine ones among them, especially the ones where he established his restaurants.
Though it isn't considered much, the nobles knew that it is better to be on better terms with Klaus. The restaurant business and the products sold bought a lot of tax and a lot of delicacies to their mouths.
Elders didn't say, To enter one's heart is through their stomach, for nothing. They are pleased that their territories improved a lot compared to the past.
The strength and happiness of the people increased, which is a bonus for the territory.
These nobles are truly grateful to him and wanted to strengthen their ties with him.
Of course, they would like that. Klaus has only reached fifteen years of age and he already has a successful business and production factories which bring him a lot of profit.
They are wondering what other wonders would the boy would bring before he reaches his prime.
One is considered as prime when they are in their late twenties to mid-thirties. This is the norm for common people. Though it changes for people who awakened. So unless specified late twenties is what is considered as prime age.
At this age, one would still have strength and enough experience to make better decisions.
Klaus was doing his rounds of meeting with nobles, he felt a gaze of hatred.
Klaus immediately turned around to see a young looking at him with a sneer. Klaus wondered what he did to annoy him. He doesn't even remember if they had met but he recognized the crest on the boy's attire.
The crest is a Falcon, the symbol of the royal family.
He already guessed who the boy is. His father informed him beforehand of some higher nobles that would attend.
This one is the 3rd prince, who is two years older than Klaus.
