Arthur requested that the three ladies be kept in same room, so the ladies were wheeled into the biggest VIP room in the hospital.
After checking their vital signs on the monitor the Doctors reported that the would wake up in three to give hours.
Kimberley, and kelvin walked and sat in one of the sofas, Arthur took a seat and sat inbetween Kathryn and Rebecca's bed ,while Davin stood by the door with arms crossed against his chest, his face devoid of any emotion.
He watched Kathryn from where he stood, his heart literally broke as he observed the gauze bandaged over her head, and thigh. He wondered how much pain she was in. Looking over to Rebecca a bitter smile creased his lips as he watched his sister kim talking to the unconscious Rebecca while pushing off a bunch of hair away from her face.
He was very sure who sent those gunmen and he would make them pay dearly, just then his phone rang , seeing the private called he excused himself and want outside.
"Have you found them?" Davin asked as he made his way to the elevator.
"Yes boss, they are at an abandoned warehouse at the outskirts of town" his agent reported.
"Get the alpha team and meet there, I will leave first" Davin said as he drove out of the parking lot.
Driving like a speed demon, he got to the warehouse in less then thirty minutes as against a supposed one hour journey, few seconds later his men drove in behind him in two black tinted SUV.
Parking at a safe distance from the warehouse, Davin took out a two glock 19, a 9mm pistol and concealed it inside his suit jacket before going with his men into the warehouse.
Davin and his men were so stealth, the injured assassins had no idea they were being ambushed. Just few minutes later they were discovered in one of the storage rooms in the warehouse, one of the assassins made a run for it but was shot on the leg by Davin himself.
"Why are you running when we haven't gotten to the fun part" Davin's head security taunted as he ordered his men to dragg both men outside. When they were in a secure, secluded location inside the warehouse, the Davin and his men began to interrogate them.
"Who sent you after Kathryn?" Davin's second in command demanded, his voice gruff and ominous.
The assassins didn't answer, but the team was unrelenting. They descended upon the men with torture instruments, trying to extract information.
The assassins refused to talk, so Davin stepped forward. He looked the men in the eye and asked, "Who sent you? You have a chance to save yourselves. Speak now, or you will pay the ultimate price."
The men hesitated, but eventually one of them spoke up. "Carlos, Carlos Rodriguez asked us to kidnap Miss Davina by any means possible"
Davin nodded, his instincts were right. He had gotten what he needed and it was time for them to pay. Picking his glock 19 from the table where he placed it, he clocked a silencer and started pla8it at the tip of the gun. The assassins watched in apprehension.
"You promised you will spare us if we talked, we already gave you what you wanted." One of the assassin said.
"Did I now?, you will know your fate soon enough" He said and in the blink of an eye, he shot them swiftly while their body dropped with a soft thud.
Staring the lifeless bodies of the men, he sighed as their death didnt bring much satisfaction to and definately didnt quench the rage in his heart.
"Send their heads to Carlos Rodriguez in a souvenir...also attach a letter that reads 'send one more assailant to Kathryn one more time and I will come for you and drug syndicate and i promise i will not show mercy'....." he said and left.
Few minutes later his men were done they cleaned any traces of their presence and left, leaving the dead body for the police to find.

It was been fours hours since Rebecca and Yvette regained consciousness and the relief of everyone, but Kathryn was yet to wake, they became slightly worried as it almost five hour and she was supposed to have woken up by now according to the doctor, but nothing so far.
"Thirthy more minutes and if she isnt up, I will call the doctor" Arthur said slightly tensed.
"I know you are worried but let's be patient, she will be awake very soon ok" Rebecca said softly rubbing his back as he sat restless on her bed .
Immediately it was five hours Thirty minutes Kathryn's eyelids started to flutter and immediately opened.
Feeling groggy and confused,She looked around and saw Arthur standing nearby, looking worried and apologetic.
Arthur stepped up to Kathryn's bedside and took her hand. "Kathryn! You're awake!" he said, his voice trembling. He was so relieved to see her conscious, and helped her sit up.
"Took you long enough" Rebecca said smiling broadly.
"Ouch my cheeks hurt, I cant even smile now" Rebecca complained.... Kimberley ran and throw her self at Kathryn and held her tight.
"Huh Kimberley I literally cannot breathe " Kathryn said smiling at her friend.
"Oh sorry sorry, are you ok no? Does it hurt anywhere?" Kimberley bombarded her with questions like a mother when, which kelvin found so cute.
"I'm ok, it's just a minor injury " Kathryn reassured her.
"Minor injury?" Kimberley asked in bewilderment, only her friend will call an assassination attempt 'minor injury'.
"Not what's on the news kat,If anything had happened to you guys today, I dont know how I would live, you two are literally my sisters" Kimberley said with a trembling voice, biting her lips she tried to control her emotions but failed her as she burst out crying on Kathryn shoulder, who held her and was rubbing her back.
Arthur was suprised to witness this side of her, so she was only pretending to be strong for everyone he thought.
Rebecca stood from her bed and went over to Kathryns' to join the group hug. It was a beautiful scene for the three platonic soulmates.
Yvette watched as the three ladies showed eachother love and couldn't help feeling sad and alone, but quickly got over it as she knew she had a mission to finish.
Kelvin watched on and couldn't help smiling, he was so happy for his sister, he had always wanted her to have the best life experience and so couldnt be more happy that Kathryn and Rebecca were her friends.
Kathryn smiled weakly in response, feeling the warmth of everyone's love and concern for her.
Just then the doctors walked in with the nurses "Welcome back, Kathryn. You had us all worried!" The Chief medical director said.
Kathryn nodded, thanking them all for their care.
Kelvin leaned in and said, "We're glad you are alright, Kathryn. You had us all worried."
Kathryn smiled, feeling grateful for the outpouring of love and concern. She knew she had many people looking out for her, and it filled her with a sense of security even if it's for one day.
Kathryn looked around the room and noticed that Davin's wasnt in the room, she felt slightly disappointed that he wasn't there. She knew that he must have been too busy to make it, but still, a part of her had hoped he'd be there.
Kimber noticed the look in her eyes and stepped in to fill the void. She put her arm around her, giving her a reassuring squeeze, and whispered.
"Davin came as soon as you were brought in,he literally left everything he was doing and ran as soon as he heard the news, he just left to handle some business a few hours ago," she told her. "But he would surely be back tonight, so dont miss him so much." Kimberley wincked at her.
Kathryn blushed unknowingly, "that's not....I mean that's not what this is" Kathryn said all flushed, feelingembarrassed that Kimberley could read her so well..
