Kathryn stepped into the grand suite and was immediately mesmerized. Taking in the sight of the opulent room, she couldn't help but admire the luxurious surroundings of her temporary abode.
Making her way to the inviting hot bathtub, she allowed her aching muscles to soak in the lavender-scented warmth of the tub as a contented sigh escaped her lips. Fifteen minutes later, she reluctantly emerged from the bathing and made her way to the walk-in closet. Settling on a red silky night outfit, she returned to the bedroom and took out the blow dryer to try and tame her wet locks.
Just then, Kathryn's stomach growled, and her gaze landed on the coffee maker in the room. With a satisfied smile, she poured the steaming coffee into a cup and made her way to one of the plush sofas. Setting her coffee aside, she busied herself on her phone, typing away feverishly in order to send and answer emails.
Thirty minutes later, she closed her mailbox and set her phone down. Maybe the physical activity had used up her energy, or maybe it was the calming effects of the coffee, but Kathryn suddenly found herself feeling more relaxed than ever before. Yet for some reason, she couldn't quite bring herself to sleep.
Forcing herself to get up, Kathryn walked to the floor to ceiling curtains, pulled them aside with one strong motion, and the beauty of the lush forest outside appeared before her. She marveled at the sights before her, and a peaceful smile spread across her face.
The view of the forest from up there was magnificent, from where she stood she could oversee a great deal of the beautiful garden and forest...the lake beside the garden sparkled under the moonlight..
Just then the door of her room clicked and someone came...turning around she saw rebecca in an almost identical nightie she was wearing herself...she smiled and turned to look at the backyard again..
"Couldn't sleep?" kathryn asked..
"I could say the same for you kat" rebecca said..
"What exactly are you looking at?" She asked as she walked towards the window where kathryn stood..
She gasped upon seeing the view from the window...
"Oh my God what is this place....it looks so ethereal" rebecca asked in amazement..
Kathryn couldn't help but smile at her reaction, ih she was familiar with it, because that was exactlyhow she reacted..
"That's where Madame Genevieve took me to during the party"
"Oh my god is that an orchid garden?" Rebecca asked pointing towards the west of the backyard...
"Yes...its so beautiful right?" Kathryn couldn't help buy admire the garden, it was one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen..
"Do you think they bought this house because of the this beautiful garden and forest, I mean who wouldn't...if I ever seen a property with this type of backyard I would definately buy.." Rebecca said dreamily..
"According to madame Genevieve this site was a plain land when they bought it, it was her and her husband that planted all this tress you see, ten trees every week for the past twenty years...." kathryn said
"Wow...just wow,I don't even know what else to say"rebecca said..
They stayed silent for awhile and admired the view of the garden and forest...
The view was therapeutic and soothing and so the two couldn't look away and just stood there taking in the view from all angle...
"Did Carlos receive the gift we sent?" Kathryn asked after what seemed like thirty minutes..
"Yes, and our spy said he has been raging mad for the whole day and also had ordered Jose back to mexico" rebecca replied..
"Has there been any new information from the Diaz interrogation aside from the ones he gave us?" Kathryn asked
"No, he has given us everything he knows'' Rebecca said...
"Send him like we did the others to Carlos" kathryn said ever so casually as though instructing the chef on the dish to prepare..
"When are we moving up to phase two?" Rebecca asked...
"Tomorrow noon" she replied
"Ok.....on a more lighter note though, how was it" rebecca said expertly changing the topic..
"How was what?" Kathryn asked confused..
"Dancing with Davin, how did it feel" rebecca asked Wiggling her eye brows playfully.
Kathryn sighed, she couldn't believe rebecca will be asking such random questions..
"How was it supposed to feel?" Kathryn asked cocking an eye brow at her..
Rebecca sighed in frustration on how difficult it was to extract this type of information from her, but she wasn't ready to accept defeat, so she brought out her ace card..
Punching some info in her phone she handed it to kathryn who took it casually...
Seeing the content on the phone she was suprise but she couldn't help but admit to herself that they both looked good..
"Who took this pictures?" Kathryn asked handing back the phone to rebecca...
"I did and so did many others who love beautiful things... and I bet you don't know this but more pictures of you guys dancing together is everywhere on the internet" rebecca said scrolling through her phone for some seconds, finding what she was looking for she gave her phone to kathryn ..
Once again going through the information's on the tabloid, the first thing that greeted her was a headline that said 'WHO IS THE MYSTERY LADY BEHIND THE RED FIERY MASK'
Another caption read 'MYSTERY LADY IS NO OTHER THAN THE GORGEOUS PRESIDENT KATHRYN'
And another read 'PRESIDENT DAVIN AND PRESIDENT KATHRYN SHIP, WHO SAYS NO?"
The picture of her and Williams dancing was also taken and posted on the website of one of the biggest media houses,it was a beautiful picture too...
And each post from these big media house generated thousands upon thousands of comment and as always both presidents were trending together again.
"Oh my God, she is living my dream" one commenter said under one the post..
"Am so jealous, how can she dance with the two most gorgeous men in the country?" Another opined..
"Let me rephrase it, how can the two dance with the most gorgeous woman in the country..." a male netizen replied the commenter above...
And just like that thousands of comments followed suit...
Meanwhile looking at the pictures she couldn't deny that they were beautiful even from different angles it was taken from..
There was a picture when Davin whispered something in her ears, there was another where she gave a corky smile, there was also the one where davin laughed so hard she was caught smiling unknowingly , that was perhaps the most beautiful of all the pictures, and it was the one most media companies used as their front cover..
Handing back her phone to her she asked "I didn't see any reporters at the party how did this media houses get ahold of this pictures" she asked..
"Isn't it obvious, some of the guest present were president and Owners of most of the big media houses so...." rebecca said while kathryn acknowledged her point with a nod...
"Hmm"....
"So, did you suspect anything you when you were dancing with Davin....with regards to what happened the other day" rebecca asked changing the topic yet again,Kathryn often teased her on how changing the topic in every conversation was a talent..
Remembering what happened from the time they entered the party till the time they danced, she couldn't remember ever seeing him do or act in any suspicious way...
"No, not that I can remember" Kathryn said..
"Alright, I will leave you to sleep then goodnight" rebecca said yawning loudly..
"Seriously" kathryn couldn't help saying..
"Bye" rebecca said giggling as she left the room..
