Sabrina was flabbergasted when Lucas Stunder stood up for her against Manager Canner.
No one has ever defended her like that. She felt warm and grateful.
"Master Lucas,you didn't have to do that. However, I'm grateful you stood up for me." Sabrina said.
Lucas Stunder wasn't impressed with her words as he walked towards her with his eyes fixed on her.
"Are you really that grateful? Shouldn't you show your gratitude to me in some way?" Smirking,Lucas suggested.
At the mention of this,Sabrina was taken aback.
How could she make it up to him when she barely has money for anything? Moreover,she was still indebted to others.
In the end,he saved her from humiliation. Sabrina didn't want to appear as an ungrateful wench.
She bit her lips and asked," How should I thank you, Master Lucas?"
"You gotta keep your job because of me. Shouldn't you thank me?" Lucas asked with curled lips and a wicked smile.
