POV Thanatos.
Using the geolocation app, I was approaching the location of Nemesis.
The gas tank on my bike was nearly empty, which was a big problem. Without such convenient transportation, I would quickly be overtaken by the thousand-strong horde of zombies following me because of the noise the engine made.
Of course, there are other sources of sound. As only eight or nine hours have passed since the Monstro-Apocalypse began, humanity is still a long way from complete extinction.
Many people are gathering in armed groups to have a better chance of survival. Too bad they don't know a very sneaky paradox. The larger the group, the greater the likelihood of encountering a horde of the dead. But such obvious things are very difficult to understand in times of crisis and nervousness.
Passing the tall buildings of Manhattan, it was interesting to look around. Already several skyscrapers had collapsed, and the rest were either burning or had lost their former grandeur.
The sun had completely disappeared over the horizon, and dark clouds were gathering in the sky, suggesting likely precipitation.
At one point, with two blocks to Nemesis, the motorcycle engine stalled.
— Shit, I was almost there.
I had to get off it quickly and walk. I drank a bottle of water, threw my backpack behind me, and cautiously ran forward.
It was a little scary to look into the darkness, because only in some places the lampposts were still lit.
Hiding behind the smoldering car, I began to survey the area. A squad of ogres, trolls, and goblins was moving toward the location of Nemesis. To my surprise, there were no zombies around, though nighttime must be the most productive time for them.
Maybe the mutants and the dead had some sort of arrangement? Or the monsters somehow scare the living dead away, so that they deliberately avoid the area. I don't know for sure.
I decided to walk to Nemesis through the alleys of the high-rise buildings, since it would be an act of suicide to go out into the open at night.
— Hands up! Backpack, sword, and valuables on the ground! — a little quietly shouted a man's voice behind me.
Not five minutes later, some robbers or raiders were on top of me.
I raised my hands and turned 180 degrees, starting a calm conversation, — I don't want trouble and a premature end in agony, and neither do you. If you shoot me, there'll be a mob of either zombies or a horde of green goblins. And they don't care who they rape as long as they have holes.
Five masked men surrounded me and aimed their rifles. I quickly determined that four of the men had AR-15s, and the gang leader was holding a REC7 with a telescoping buttstock. Nemesis had instilled in me a *love* for learning about firearms and edged weapons.
The man was a little confused after my confident speech, but quickly cocked the trigger of the machine gun and said, — You're right, it's suicide. Then you give us your stuff, and we won't kill you. We'll part peacefully, so to speak, without blood, ha-ha.
What am I supposed to do? I can give up my backpack no problem, but the sword is very valuable! I'll have to play along and attack at the right moment. I won't be able to dodge automatic rifle bullets - reaction and perception aren't enough, but it might have been possible to dodge the bullets of a gun.
— Good. All I have is my sword and my backpack, — I said, and carefully removed the backpack from my back. Then I unclipped the scabbard from my belt and held the closed sword out in front of me.
— Come on, no tricks. It would be better if you threw the sword on the еar- Kraaaa-ah-ah! — Suddenly the man shouted as a fist-sized hole appeared in his chest.
The REC7 automatic fell to the ground, as did its owner. Behind him stood a white-haired, blue-eyed girl in protective gear.
Oh, here comes Nemesis. She came to me herself!
The four men cocked their guns and shouted in a whisper, — You beast! Get on your knees or we'll really open fire! I don't give a fuck that monsters and other undead are gonna be here, you're gonna die tonight anyway.
My older sister smirked and showed a sadistic grin, — Really? It's fascinating to hear the dying words from living corpses. You chose your fate the moment you decided to rob my beloved brother!
Without further ado, Nemesis picked up two daggers and attacked the two men. They immediately opened a volley of fire on her, but she somehow managed to repel all the bullets. More accurately, she redirected them.
It was as if she was controlling the air, or I had lost my mind.
I didn't lose my chance and drew my sword from its sheath. The other two bandits also started shooting at my sister, so they forgot all about me.
It took me only two sharp swings to cut off their heads. The night time had taken its toll.
Nemesis had successfully killed her targets. I examined her for wounds, and she was perfectly fine.
— Brother, what are you doing here? It's dangerous for you to be in the midst of two spatial teleports, — Nemesis grabbed my ass and threw me into her arms.
I was silent the whole time, as I waited for the right moment to make a serious accusation.
It was a little awkward to be in my sister's arms, especially since I was proportionately larger than Nemesis.
She somehow magically started walking up the wall and climbed to the roof of the skyscraper in a couple of minutes. I pretended to be completely indifferent to what was happening, though inside I was burning with curiosity.
It was as if she could fly! If it weren't for the situation with Evelina, I would probably admire my big sister.
— Let me go to ground, — I said emotionlessly.
Nemesis sensed the chill in my manly tone of voice and listened to the request.
— Thanatos, is something wrong? I've been extracting cores for your cultivation all this time and...
*Slap*
I walked over to her and slapped my sister across the face with a hard swing.
My right palm went a little numb from my sister's unkempt body strength, but her cheek flushed unchildishly.
A deep imprint of my palm was left on her beautiful face. Nemesis stroked the impact site and frowned, saying, — Thanatos, I'll be honest. I don't like this kind of trend. I have my pride! You can't raise your hand against me on a whim.
— I've got brains and heart. Apparently you don't have any of those things. And don't be surprised when I don't look at you with the loving gaze I used to have, — I said, not holding back the hatred sprouting in my heart.
Still, I couldn't stand the way she treated me with disregard. It was as if I were the princess who had to be kept in the tower, protected from everything and everyone.
— Oh, what have I done wrong! — shouted Nemesis, stomping her foot with anger. Her voice grew deeper and more cruel, — I've done everything for you, all my life! Even now, I've come to the epicenter of chaos for you! You've grown into an ungrateful man...
— Don't you get it, really? Okay, then I'll just say one word. Evelina.
Nemesis pursed her lips when she realized what made me so emotional and resentful. Nemesis took a breath, exhaled, and spoke, — Brother, she was a sick girl. She had no chance of surviving in this world. Would you really want us to drag her along? I know the dangers we will face in the future, and if she didn't die now, she would die sooner or later in the future. Then you would be a hundred times more hurt, and I don't want you to suffer!
— She's alive, — I said briefly, turning away from the genuinely surprised Nemesis.
I walked to the edge of the roof and looked down. A central park fell into my view, where there were two different portals at two ends. There were ogres and trolls coming out of the first, and goblins of various sizes and types of troops coming out of the second. Some archers and green old men with magic sticks could be seen there.
Well, now I see why there are no zombies here. It doesn't make sense for them to come here, since this isn't their deployment area.
By the way, I haven't engaged in battle with trolls yet. I wonder if the troll is stronger than the mutant ogre I fought.
I stood on the parapet of the roof for about five minutes and analyzed the outlandish creatures. Huge bats also came into my view, bursting into high-rise buildings and sweeping the dwellings where survivors were hiding.
— I'm sorry if I let you down. I was a bad caregiver, — Nemesis dared to speak to me after all. Her voice was extremely affectionate and guilty. Using her large cup-E breasts, she hugged me from behind and added, — How did she survive? Why isn't Evelina by your side then! Does she need medical attention?
I pulled Nemesis away from me and said, — She's gone, because she ran off in a northerly direction. And before that, she killed 12 goblins with a single blow, eaten by some kind of acid or poison. I don't know exactly. When I got there, she'd been gone for at least five hours. All that was left was the explosion and the half-dead maids that I had mercifully killed.
— Acid you say... — muttered Nemesis thoughtfully, stroking her dainty chin.
— I'm not going to ask you anything about this Monster Apocalypse, because you make me sick. Or rather, the fact that you refuse to answer any of my questions, — I said disappointedly as I sat down on the edge of the roof.
Nemesis repeated my actions, and our feet dangled from the parapet, touching each other slightly. At this point, a light rain began to fall, gathering from the cumulonimbus clouds.
— I'm sorry, I'm guilty of all charges, — Nemesis turned toward me, and I instinctively did the same.
Then she looked at my lips and tried to kiss me, but I stopped her with two fingers. Nemesis trembled a little when I rejected her and wanted to get up to leave. But I didn't let that happen.
I grabbed her chin myself and pulled her face closer so that I could greedily claw at my own sister's plump lips. It was our first kiss, so my heartbeat was very fast and my hands were sweating with nervousness.
Ten minutes of callow tenderness in a light downpour passed. Our lips parted and created a bridge of saliva, which Nemesis accidentally ruined when she licked her red lips.
Nemesis experienced intense embarrassment and, covering her face with her palms, quietly expressed, — You're the first guy who's ever managed to achieve a kiss from me.
After Nemesis' sweet words, an inexplicable heat was felt in my stomach. Like that morning when Nemesis gave me a blow job.
— Sister, why do your actions make me more relaxed and compliant? You're a manipulator, and a very skillful one at that! Who taught you the art of managing strangers emotions?
I slapped her wet shoulder as she managed to reduce my anger.
It was very mean, but her kiss and words worked most effectively!
— Brother, you're asking questions again that I can't give you an answer to. But I can redeem myself by telling you more about how the world has changed, what happened to Evelina, and how we can all survive and become the strongest!
— Hmm, that's an interesting offer. And what are the terms of the deal? — I asked, looking into her beautiful azure irises eyes.
— In exchange for forbidden information, I want you to do something forbidden with your older sister... — To make the moment spicy, Nemesis was silent for ten seconds, then happily shouted, — You will steal my precious virginity and chastity!
