Evelina was very scared to look into her computer monitor and turn on brutal videos where people were dying by the millions. Videos of several world leaders still alive dropping atomic and nuclear bombs to destroy alien invasion centers. Luckily for the Americans, the president of their country did not have time to release the nuclear warheads as Washington was nearly destroyed along with the entire White House.
Panic gripped the world.
When Evelina learned of the apocalypse from the Internet, she tried to contact her parents. They didn't pick up the phone, but she managed to reach Agatha.
— Sister, older sister! What should I do? What's going on? Is what they're writing and showing on Twitter true? — Evelina pelted her big sister with lots of questions.
— Stay where you are, I... Aah! Shoot back! Kill those things, fortify your flanks, hold your positions! Throw thorny hedgehogs off the walls, patch up the gaps in the fortifications! — shouted into the tube Agatha, handing out orders to subordinates.
Evelina's heart sank in her heels at the sounds of gunfire she could hear. Also in the background were the growls of monsters and zombies making their way into the military facility.
It became obvious that her sister was in a dangerous situation.
— Sister! What's going on?
— Shit, I can't talk. A horde of a thousand zombies is breaking through to us. We must repel their attack, but it will be very difficult.
— Tell me where you are! — Evelina wanted to know. She knew there was nothing she could do, but she wanted to do something.
Evelina had been weak all her life, and subconsciously she knew that this apocalypse would be the end of her life.
— Why would you need to know that? You can't leave our house anyway. If there's an emergency, call Thanatos.
After a little silence in the tube, Evelina came up with an excuse, — What if our mansion is attacked? What if Thanatos is busy saving own life? How am I supposed to find you if I lose my connection and the Internet?
— Shit, you're right... — Agatha's mind was seething with tension. Without thinking of the consequences, she told her little sister, — Write it down on a piece of paper. The underground research station at the Montauk military base in Long Island. The base is 123 miles southeast of Central Park, New York. I hope you don't need this information... s-s sest...
— Communications! The connection isn't working properly! — shouted Evelina, trying not to panic.
The call was forced to stop. Several attempts to reach her parents, Thanatos, or Agatha were unsuccessful. But she was lucky enough to catch the connection with Nemesis.
— Hello, Nemesis! Are you alive? Are you in a safe place? — Evelina asked with great trepidation.
— Hah, I didn't think you'd be worried about me. I'm in a dangerous place, but you shouldn't make a fuss. I grind these wimps into the sand in the wind, whole packs of them. I just need to gather as many cores of different monsters as I can to make my beloved brother stronger. And how do you feel?
Evelina didn't question Nemesis about the kernels that would make Thanatos stronger. She understood that the white-haired girl had no time for questions now, because she was in some dangerous place with a specific purpose.
— I was only able to reach my sister. I wrote down the address of the Montauk military base in case I was broken into and had to flee.
— What's the point if you die first? — Nemesis hit Evelina in the sore spot.
Evelina wanted to shout nasty things as she became very hurt and offensively by the brutal truth. From the unchangeable reality. Not only would she die from the apocalypse itself and its aftermath, but she would die elementally from the external environment of the world around her. A person's lack of immunity was a very scary abnormality that never led to good consequences.
— Fuck you! — Evelina shouted into the receiver and tossed the telephone aside.
She wiped away her tears, looking at the piece of paper with Agatha's location address written on it. Tucking it into her pocket, Evelina jumped on the bed and burrowed into her pillow.
«I should not have called her at all. I knew she was such a straight-up bitch!» the green-eyed girl with the short hair complained inwardly.
Evelina sat on her bed crying for about an hour, reading the news and cuddling the teddy bear Thanatos had given her. Naturally, the object was sanitized and completely safe.
She often sniffed the toy while masturbating. No one knew about this secret but her. And probably except for Nemesis because of her excellent sense of smell, even through the biodefense suit.
At one point, Evelina heard horrible screams coming from the lower floors of the mansion.
It was her maids!
«My God, what in the world is going on! Me need to look at the cameras,» was Evelina's first thought.
She had access to the mansion's main interior cameras. And when she switched the channel to the living room, she clutched her mouth in horror.
She almost vomited when she saw, live, her three maids screaming and trying to get out while they were being raped by the green little monsters. The monsters reveled in their power over the women's bodies.
The goblins looked nasty enough: red eyes, long ears, wide toothy mouths, wrinkled noses, and a lustful grimace. The only item of clothing was a tunic of animal hide. Of the weapons they had were hollowed-out human bones, resembling a small stake.
— Aaah! Oh, my God! Oh, my God! This is fucked up! I need to call Agatha or Thanatos!
Evelina picked up her phone, but suddenly realized that its screen was broken. The screen sensor wasn't working as the girl threw the phone to the side and it shattered.
— NO! NO, YOU FUCKING BITCH! I'm so stupid! — Evelina became hysterical, beginning to tear her hair out.
Because of her stupidity, she had lost her direct connection to any help.
At one point, while the goblins were raping the maids, her father, John, called her. But Evelina could not press the call-taking icon.
When the mob of goblins finished abusing the poor women, they went into a special elevator.
Evelina watched this, not understanding how this was possible.
«Are these creatures sentient? What will happen to all of us then! How will I survive this? How can I not become a victim of their violence?» pondered Evelina with fear in her eyes.
She immediately began to barricade the bedroom door with beds, closets, and any heavy objects.
Through the computer monitor, she watched as the goblins scrambled up the elevator in a pack and pressed on to the third floor by scent to reach the next victim of their inhuman lasciviousness.
When they reached the third floor, all 12 goblins ran toward Evelina and banged on the door with a violent rumble.
*Screech*
The green little monsters scrambled to the door and banged on it with all their might, giggling snidely and talking in their own language.
Fortunately, Evelina managed to close and barricade herself in, but from the small crack the emitted germs of the outside environment entered her room.
Evelina felt a growing choking sensation. As the goblins tried to break in, she began to suffocate.
Her body began to shake in pain and her muscles experienced uncontrollable spasms, — Ahhhhh! Help, PAINFYLLY!
She begged God for a premature demise so that those vile goblins wouldn't rape her and her suffering would stop, but she suddenly felt much better.
It took about ten minutes of infernal pain and screaming at the top of her throat, but Eveline stopped suffering and was able to get to her feet.
— W-what's the matter with me? — Holding back the pain, Eveline looked with interest at her hands, which emitted a caustic green light.
While Evelina studied the mysterious phenomenon on her hands, the Goblins kicked in the door and ran inside in droves. The largest of them stopped the rest of the goblins with a gesture of his hand.
— A-AH! P-Please! Please don't do this! - exclaimed Evelina as she realized her end was sealed. She was surrounded by twelve hungry goblins, so she couldn't contain her body shaking, tears of bitterness and snot.
— Mnh-mnh-mnh! — shouted their leader and all at once tried to pounce on Evelina. At that moment, she screamed and accidentally released a huge pulse of her own energy, which produced an explosion in the room.
*BANG*
There was a loud pop. Evelina heard the goblins' pitiful screams, but she didn't dare open her eyes. After a minute, when their shrieks subsided, she opened her tired eyelids.
— W-what happened here. Did I do this? — Evelina muttered under her breath as she watched the astonishing scene.
The roof was blown off, and acid was slowly eating away at the walls. The goblins were also slowly dying from an unknown acidic force.
— Ha-ha-ha, did I really do it! Did I get powers? And I don't seem to be dying from the outside environment!
Evelina couldn't believe the miracle that happened. She had gained some kind of superpower that had saved her from a brutal rape. If not for luck, she would have met the fate of the maids.
Evelina clenched her fists and jumped up, experiencing exorbitant happiness, — Ehu!
«Will I really be able to be with Thanatos? Then I can protect him, right? I'll be able to protect everyone I care about!» Evelina suddenly realized to herself.
She suddenly remembered something and pulled out a piece of paper, — This is Agatha's address, and she needs my help. By the time I get to my sister, I can learn how to spit acid and kill monsters and zombies!
Evelina wasn't worried about Thanatos' safety, since Nemesis had mentioned him to her. She had had time to get to know Nemesis in three years, and she clearly understood that Thanatos could not be in danger.
But here is Evelina's older sister now fighting for her life. She's with the military, but what if someone dangerous shows up there?
Even though Agatha didn't visit her often or give her proper care, Evelina didn't blame her, and she loved her sister.
Gathering her courage, Evelina stopped at the edge of the third floor. She looked through the hole in the wall at the woods and then lowered her eyes to the floor. Her bare feet were slowly eating away at the marble floor.
— Wow, how strong I am. I have an obligation to save Agatha. It is my sisterly duty!
Having been cooped up all her life, Evelina wore light rose-colored glasses. Her visions, though realistic, were a bit hyperbolized.
Now the girl with the emerald eyes considered herself the chosen one. In her mind, all those 20 years of suffering were in fact nothing more than a very severe test that she had successfully passed and had been rewarded with superpowers to change this fading world.
Unfortunately, she didn't realize that her *chosenness* was a common pattern based on obvious factors.
Cautiously down the pipe, Evelina emerged from the fenced area and walked straight into the woods, completely forgetting that she didn't know the right direction on the way to Agatha.
