Chapter 15: Unleashed Fury

FEW MINUTES BEFORE GABRIEL WENT PSYCHO:

As Gabriel's body grew unbearably hot, preventing anyone from approaching him, Dr. Morgan hastily exited the room. He rushed to the monitoring room, only to find the operators fast asleep. "I almost died, and this idiot is just sitting here sleeping!" Dr. Morgan's frustration boiled over as he delivered a swift kick to one of the unfortunate souls, jolting them awake. The operators scrambled to straighten their uniforms, their faces filled with fear.

"What's the meaning of this?" Dr. Morgan demanded. The operator stammered, "S...sir, I..." Before he could finish, Dr. Morgan interjected with impatience, "Pull up the security camera feed from Sector X, Room 50." The operator appeared surprised, "Sector X, sir?" Dr. Morgan shot him a withering look, realizing that only a select few, including some of the staff, were aware of Sector X's existence. Pushing the operator aside, Dr. Morgan swiftly input a series of commands on the keyboard, and an emotionless robotic voice responded, "Input access code."

"Access Code: Omega-12XZ," Dr. Morgan's voice resonated immediately.

This code represented the highest level of security clearance, granting access to the most classified and advanced areas of the research facility. It combined the symbolism of the Greek letter Omega, signifying the ultimate and final, with the alphanumeric sequence 12XZ, adding complexity and uniqueness to the code.

After a brief loading period...

The giant screen displayed Gabriel's chamber, and Dr. Morgan stood transfixed, observing the myriad changes occurring within Gabriel's body. The cracks that had previously marred his skin had vanished, and his hair had undergone a striking transformation.

"Fascinating," Dr. Morgan whispered, his astonishment palpable. The implications of this remarkable discovery raced through his mind. Humanity's understanding of biology, physics, and science as a whole was undergoing a profound shift. The potential and possibilities of this scientific marvel seemed infinite—diseases like cancer could be cured, and the mysteries of immortality that had always eluded mankind might finally be unraveled.

As Dr. Morgan continued to watch, a blinding white light erupted from Gabriel's eyes, blasting a hole through the ceiling. This phenomenon persisted for approximately ten minutes before abruptly ceasing. When the light subsided, everything returned to normal. However, due to Gabriel's closed eyes, they remained unaware of the transformation that had occurred.

Lost in thought, Dr. Morgan was abruptly jolted back to reality as Gabriel's eyes flickered open. As Gabriel turned to face the camera, Dr. Morgan noticed a startling change in his eyes. The white sclera remained the same, but his once pale brown irises now exhibited a shocking transformation. Two rings encircled his pupils, each radiating distinct colors and brilliance.

The outer ring shimmered with a bright silver hue, while the inner ring possessed a crimson glow. A long, black slit split across the rings, adding an air of mysticism to Gabriel's gaze. One of the most noticeable changes was the enlarged size of his irises compared to those of a normal human.

As Gabriel stared intently at the camera, Dr. Morgan felt as though all his secrets were laid bare before those piercing eyes. It was as if he was being observed by one of the most terrifying beings in existence, leaving him feeling utterly exposed. To compound his unease, Dr. Morgan had an unsettling sense that Gabriel could see him through the camera. Little did he know, his intuition was accurate—Gabriel could indeed see through the camera, peering into the innermost details of everyone in the room, hearing their thoughtsand discerning the intricacies of their bodies.

The operators in the room shared Dr. Morgan's unease, their minds echoing with bewildered thoughts. "What kind of monster have they been keeping down there?" The chilling realization gripped them, filling them with terror.

Suddenly, Gabriel broke free from his cell, unleashing a devastating punch that reduced everything in his path to blood and dust. Dark tentacles emerged from his back, impaling the hapless scientists, turning them into lifeless husks that crumbled to the ground.

Dr. Morgan hadn't anticipated the situation escalating to this level. Shocked by the unforeseen turn of events, he swiftly retrieved his walkie-talkie and commanded the field team to contain the imminent threat. With a heavy heart, he watched as Gabriel rampaged through the facility, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake. The walls were drenched in crimson, bearing witness to the slaughter of both the guilty and the innocent.

Realizing the urgency of his own survival, Dr. Morgan made a desperate dash for his office. Amidst the cacophony of Gabriel's victims' screams, he hurriedly gathered important documents, his hands trembling. Then, driven by a sense of impending doom, he rushed to the facility's database, quickly copying crucial data onto a portable hard drive.

Breathing heavily, Dr. Morgan stepped into the elevator, the weight of the situation pressing upon him. With each passing floor, the anxiety within him grew. Finally, he reached the hangar, where a waiting helicopter's rotors whirred impatiently. Urging the pilot to take off, the helicopter lifted into the air, swiftly soaring into the distance. Dr. Morgan heaved a sigh of relief, believing he had successfully escaped his grim fate, or so he thought.

Little did he know that Gabriel's unleashed power would have far-reaching consequences, surpassing the confines of the research facility. As the helicopter carried Dr. Morgan to what he believed to be safety, an unsettling premonition settled in the depths of his being, hinting at the looming catastrophe that awaited him and the world beyond.
