Chapter 10: The Enigmatic Encounter

Deep within the Advanced Scientific Research Facility (ASRF), Gabriel finds himself in a glass container, seemingly asleep. However, his slumber belies the mysterious journey his consciousness embarks upon. Two weeks ago, Gabriel endured a grueling and inhumane experiment, leaving his mind shattered. In his despair, he longed for the solace of death. But little did he know that his fate would take an unexpected turn.

As he peacefully slumbers, Gabriel's consciousness drifts away into a boundless expanse of darkness. In this ethereal void, he discovers himself accompanied by a rotating black cube, pulsating with gentle white light. Initially, fear grips him, but with time, he grows accustomed to this enigmatic space, and his apprehension dissipates. Curiosity compels him to draw nearer to the pulsating cube.

With cautious steps, Gabriel approaches the cube, and as his hand makes contact, a blinding light envelops him. Shielding his eyes, he waits for the radiance to subside. When he opens his eyes, astonishment washes over him. Standing before him is a being of unparalleled beauty—an alien entity, a male Luminaris.

The Luminaris captivates Gabriel with his radiant presence, emanating an ethereal allure that defies comprehension. Adorned in a flowing robe crafted from shimmering fabrics, the Luminaris seems to embody the soft glow that emanates from his own being. The robe, a resplendent shade of azure, cascades elegantly down to his feet, billowing with each graceful movement.

The Luminaris' skin possesses an opalescent luminescence, as if bathed in an inner light. It exudes a gentle warmth, suffusing his surroundings with an aura of serenity. The elegant contours of his figure, emphasized by the gentle glow, create an almost divine presence that seems to transcend the ordinary realm.

A crown of golden, curly horns adorns the Luminaris' head, framing his face with regal elegance. His delicate features exude tranquility and wisdom, with high cheekbones, a softly chiseled jawline, and a slender nose. Instead of eyes, three vibrant sapphire-blue gems shimmer with mesmerizing intensity, as if holding within them the collective knowledge of countless galaxies.

The Luminaris' slender fingers possess an otherworldly grace, their elongated form demonstrating dexterity beyond human capability. Each digit is adorned with intricately designed rings, shimmering with subtle energies. With effortless motions, his hands seem to conduct the very essence of cosmic forces, navigating the invisible currents of the universe.

Through his tranquil aura and deliberate movements, the Luminaris male exemplifies his race's pursuit of enlightenment and understanding. His presence resonates with a serene wisdom, harmonizing with the cosmic balance. Yet, beneath his gentle demeanor lies a latent strength and resilience, hinting at the untapped power that lies within him.

In the presence of this male Luminaris, Gabriel is entranced by his radiant beauty, his aura of tranquility, and the profound cosmic wisdom that permeates his being. He stands as a testament to the grandeur and enigma of the Luminaris civilization, embodying the pinnacle of their evolutionary journey.

As Gabriel observes the mesmerizing creature before him, he is startled by the sound of a voice echoing in his mind. "Hello," it speaks. Gabriel is taken aback, questioning whether aliens can speak English. The alien laughs, responding, "We are within your mind, human. The mind transcends language." Gabriel struggles to make sense of it all. "Wait, you can hear my thoughts?" he asks. The alien chuckles once more, replying, "We are in your mind. This manifestation is not your true physical body; it is merely a product of your will and thoughts." Gabriel finds it difficult to comprehend. "So, you're not real?" he inquires. The alien responds, "I am real and simultaneously not real."

Confusion fills Gabriel's mind, and he asks, "What does any of this even mean?" The alien replies, "Do not worry; understanding will come in due time. Listen, time is limited, and the energy stored within the hexagonal object has depleted over the years."

Introducing himself as Seraphim'll, a former member of the Luminaris race, the alien explains that he is the creator of the object that appears to have merged with Gabriel's being. Seraphim'll places his hand on his chin, lost in thought. "Although I do not comprehend how it occurred," he says, "I created the object without fully understanding its capabilities or workings." Gabriel interjects, "But didn't you create it?" Seraphim'll acknowledges this but adds, "I never had the chance to explore its true potential or unravel its mysteries."

Seraphim'll gazes at the cube and is inwardly surprised as the unknown material within the hexagonal container appears to have transformed into an Aspect Cube. However, he ponders if it truly embodies an Aspect. He reflects on the impossibility of creating Aspects, as they are the fundamental properties of reality birthed by the universe itself. If this cube is indeed an Aspect, then it must be Aspect Space, a creation of its own within the cube. The grandeur of this discovery could have changed the tide of the war, but he dismisses the thought. Lost in his musings, Seraphim'll continues to speak, unaware that Gabriel can hear his words.

Curiosity brimming within him, Gabriel questions the situation. "What's going on? What is this thing, and what is all this talk about Aspects?" The alien responds, "Look, kid, your life is about to take a profoundly strange turn." In that moment, Gabriel realizes that he can never truly return home, and his life will never be the same. As the alien continues to speak, the mysteries surrounding Aspects are about to be unveiled. Seraphim'll begins to explain the nature of Aspects, the set of laws that govern all aspects of life and reality. When sentient beings awaken their Aspect, they tap into the energy known as the Power_Cosmic and attune it to their affiliated Aspect.

He elaborates on the three types of Aspects. The first is the Elemental Aspect, which encompasses aspects such as water, air, fire, earth, lightning, blood, and countless others that exist in abundance.

The second type is the Legendary Aspects, which include space, time, void, gravity, speed, light, darkness, and more. These Aspects hold immense power and are often revered as forces of great significance.

Lastly, there are the Mystic Aspects, such as the Aspect of Devouring, energy, death, fate, deviation, souls, dreams, probability and others that delve into the esoteric and profound aspects of existence.

Seraphim'll explains that those who have awakened their Aspect are known as Beyonders, And can grow in power by understanding their Aspect and absorbing cosmic energy, storing it within their Aspect Space.

Gabriel listens attentively, his excitement mounting with each word. The alien continues, revealing that those who have awakened their Aspect are known as Beyonders. However, they are rare, with only one Beyonder existing among every hundred sentient beings. Furthermore, Beyonders are more likely to give birth to another Beyonder, but the universe maintains a balance, making it increasingly difficult to procreate as their power grows.

He emphasizes that no Aspect is inherently more powerful than another, as all Aspects are equally important. For example, the Aspect of fire holds equal importance to that of gravity. When two Aspects clash, the one with a higher level will typically come out on top. However, if they are on the same level, the Beyonder with a deeper understanding and greater fighting experience will prevail. Even in battles between Beyonders of different Aspects, victory is not solely determined by raw power but also by the depth of understanding and skill in utilizing their Aspect.

As Gabriel absorbs this newfound knowledge, he realizes the vast potential and intricate dynamics that come with awakening his own Aspect. The concept of Aspects opens up a realm of possibilities and challenges, signaling a dramatic shift in his life's journey.

---

"Does that mean I'm a Beyonder now?" Gabriel questioned eagerly.

"It would seem so," Seraphim'll replied. Gabriel's heart raced with anticipation as he yearned to discover his own Aspect and break free from his prison.

Following Seraphim'll's instructions, Gabriel approached the cube and placed his hand upon it. In that instant, a rush of memories flooded his mind, revealing the legendary Aspect known as Devouring. As the name suggested, it granted the wielder the ability to consume and absorb various forms of energy, fueling their growth and enabling the redirection of that energy. The more Gabriel ascended through the ranks of Beyonders, the more potent and versatile his Aspect of Devouring would become.

Seraphim'll couldn't help but be impressed by his own ingenuity, recognizing that if they had been able to grant such powers to all their citizens, they might not have lost the war.

Suddenly, the space they occupied quaked violently, and black cracks spiderwebbed across the once pristine white expanse. Startled, Gabriel's fear surged as he turned to Seraphim'll for an explanation.

"I don't know," Seraphim'll responded with a shocked voice. "I have never seen anything like this before."

From the cracks, black energy oozed into the white space. Seraphim'll finally grasped the gravity of the situation and began to explain. "It would appear that you are awakening another, different Aspect, which is not a favorable development."

Perplexed, Gabriel inquired, "Why is that?"

Seraphim'll replied solemnly, "Aspects are potent forces of the universe. Possessing just one is already awe-inspiring, but housing two Aspects within a single physical body is deemed impossible. The physical vessel would not be able to withstand the convergence of energies and would ultimately result in its explosive demise. Pray for a miracle, kid. You'll be needing it."

As the energy convergence reached its peak, the black energy surged into the Devouring cube, causing it to explode. The conflicting energies clashed, as if engaged in a fierce battle. Seraphim'll was forcefully expelled from the space, while Gabriel's body began to bleed from his ears, nose, and mouth, staining the sheets crimson. Black, sticky substance seeped from his pores, and cracks of black and white spread across his body, as if his very vessel was on the verge of detonation.

Doctor Morgan and the other scientists were urgently summoned to stabilize Gabriel's condition. Their dismay grew as their needles failed to penetrate his skin, as if it had transformed into the toughest metal on Earth. The severity of Gabriel's situation was evident, and the scientists faced the daunting challenge of saving him from the precipice of destruction.
