Chapter 24 - Chapter 23: Bokchi

Sha-sha and I talked; I didn't get more information from him; he only knew what truly happened in the past. He told me to take "Bokchi" with me; the two-headed dog name is really cute, but the dog itself is quite intimidating. Rhian was waiting for me by the door of the manor as I returned from the library, pushing a cart filled with snacks and tea. I remembered that I was going to meet Noelle this afternoon. Going through that 4D history class made my brain melt, and I still don't know how to face Christians. Should I just forget them and live a life full of lies, or should I just go down a hard path made from the pain of the truth? I pounder then i saw Bokchi ran outside the library and circling around the cart full of delicious snacks slobbering while looking at them, i didn't hear Rhian shouted but she exclaimed "miss, get behind me" holding a sharp knife looking at the two headed dog ferociously, i looked at her alarm tell "wait, its a pet i found by the castle walls" the i call out the dog "Bokchi! Come here and sit so I can give you treats."

The two-headed dog walked up to me and sat in front of me. I gave them some jerky that was given to me by Sha-sha. I looked at Rhian with her suspicious look and said, "But Miss, you just left the library; how would you have been able to go outside?" I can feel her penetrating stare. I couldn't lie to her. I still feel guilty about the time I ran away to play. I told her to come closer and whispered to her about the hidden door by the library that leads to a massive maze. I just went right while time led me to the outside walls. She looked at me with an intriguing gaze and then spoke, "I haven't been able to enter the other locations, so maybe it would lead to a magical treasure." Good thing there is something called a portal. The location I went to is not the same location. It's for one-time use only, so it will revert back to its original form. I didn't lie, but I also told the truth. I'm so done. If this were found out by Christian, he might shackle me now. I cried inwardly, wishing he wouldn't know.

I joined Rhian in walking towards the balcony by the garden. The sun is shining flawlessly, the grass smells lovely, the wind is blowing gently, and the high walls make the view appear magnificent. Ideal weather for tea in the afternoon. I sip some tea prepared by Rhian while waiting for Noelle. I gaze upon the gingko tree, which makes my stress about Christian lessen. Maybe I could just talk to him, but maybe he would say something. If he didn't, Rhian talked to me to pass the time. We enjoyed our talk together. I also petted Bokchi and played some fetch. I laughed when they tried to fight over the stick and brought it back broken. As time passed, I thought, 'Noelle is late; did something happen?" I looked down at my tea, worried, when I heard Rhian say, "Miss Noelle is here." I told her to come with excitement mixed with concern. She showed up with her perfect smile, and her knight's uniform suited her very well. I led her to her seat; she slumped on the chair and took a breath. We enjoyed our time like this in the past; we just liked the quiet and the presence of others making us feel better.' Then I suddenly dipped out on such a wild decision of mine.' I sipped tea, and she just slumped comfortably. After some time, she proceeded to sit properly, and I heard her say "The demonic beast started to wake up".

"The divine spirits are supposedly in charge of watching over the demonic beast", I said as I turned to face her. She looked at the tea and sighed. "The divine spirit vanished when the demon lord perished." I stood up at the table in shock. How could that happen? A divine spirit would not have been able to have a contract with a being; that is why they are revered now. I looked at her. She looked at me and said, "Not all people know this, and the only person that knows where the divine spirit is is the husband of the demon king." I continued her words, "Shadha Ghulimlk," with perfect pronunciation. I mentioned them, and Noelle looked shocked at me. She downed her tea instantly, making her cough some of it. She asked me, "How do you know him? Where did you two meet?" I looked at her and mentioned, "I should ask the same question, my dear Noelle." I stared at her with my dark gaze, trying to make her speak. She looked away. I just raised my tea cup in silence. She clicked her tongue and spoke, "Look, he is the one that asked for an audience, and then I just learned that truth from him."

"Okay, but I wanted to ask you about 'summons of the white hat, lurking of the black rat'. I mentioned the secret language words she used that I did not understand. She looked at me and explained, "You already know who Christian is. Now that the hero's identity is vacant, a new hero will appear. We will never know when it will appear." I thought This would be a huge problem for Christians because people would question his existence. They didn't happen, yet it's better to be prepared. I looked at her and said, "Then about the black rat?" I asked her, and she replied, "We still haven't had a clue who they are, but one thing they have in common is that most of them are mages." I thought, 'such bothersome critters'. I looked at her and asked, "Are you okay? I told you not to force yourself to come here because you are extremely busy." She looked at me and smiled. "I am indeed busy, so I just took a breather here. It's always been relaxing right next to you; I feel vigorous when I leave the mansion." I look at her with a smile, and I remember the two-headed dog. I introduce her to Bokchi, and then she looks like she just managed to find a piece of gem, raises her fingers, pointing at him, and shouts, "It's the divine spirit!"
