The appearance of the mercenaries was as much of a problem as it was a blessing in disguise. With Theo back to his former state, Nay had no other choice but to stay at the shore a bit longer. And with their own supplies running out, gathering the supplies the mercenaries brought with themselves and Theo's scattered with his attack bought them at least a few more days.
A few more days for Theo to heal in the magical sands. A few more days worth of food and water, resources extremely scarce in this no-man's-land. And a few more days for everyone's mental to deteriorate.
"We are going to stay as long as we can," Nay spoke once the unrest caused by the sudden change came to a boiling point.
