"Haaa..." Nay released a long sigh.
It's been nearly a week since she last did something beyond preparing the bedding or cooking food. A week of doing nothing but taking care of the living necessities while watching over Theo's head.
For a week already, they continued to camp by the shore of the dried-out lake, waiting for Theo to recover and finally wake up. Yet as minutes turned into hours, hours into days, and days into a week already, Nay couldn't help but wonder if she was really doing the right thing.
'You saw him back there, god damn it!' Nay lectured herself as, once again, her boredom flourished into anxiety. 'By all accords, he should be dead! It's a miracle he's alive!' Nay wrapped her fingers over her thumbs, closing her hands into fists. 'In a situation like this, it's only given he would need some time to recover!'
