'So far, so good,' Nay thought as she pulled the oars, pushing the boat along with the current of the water towards the lake's shore.
It's been already a while since she reached the shallow areas that would turn dry during the low tide, making it possible to keep on going even when the bottom of her boat started to press against the grains of the sand below the lake.
Nay took a deep breath before pulling on her oars again. She pressed the paddle's handle down while angling the blade to make it easier to pull the oar out of the water. Then, with a swinging motion, she pushed the paddle through the air before repeating the process all over again.
'Kid doesn't seem to struggle either,' Nay thought as she took a glance to the side, where the now second-youngest of their group was leading a row of three boats.
