Chapter 52 - Saying Goodbye

*One week later*

The first rays of sunlight gently streamed through the curtains, Delphine slowly opened her eyes, the weight of the past week's events still lingering in her mind.

She looked around her room, she couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia and sadness.

It was the last day in which she would wake up here, in her bed and in her house, the last day she would see the familiar surroundings she had called home for so many years.

The room felt as usual, just like any other morning. The soft glow of the sun illuminated the corners, casting a warm and inviting ambiance.

The gentle hum of the countryside outside was a symphony of tranquility, as if the world had no idea that today would mark a significant change for Delphine.

She sat up in bed, feeling a mix of anticipation and trepidation.
