Delphine stood outside the door of her biological parents' house.
Taking care that no one could see her, she undid the spell and her beautiful young appearance came back.
She knew it was dangerous, but she didn't care.
She took a deep breath and raised her hand, gently knocking on the door.
The sound echoed softly through the corridor, and she waited, hoping someone was there in that moment.
She could hear the faint sound of steps approaching the door from inside the house. Delphine's pulse quickened, and she waited patiently, her mind buzzing with a mix of emotions and questions.
Was her mother there or someone else?
A muffled voice came from behind the door, asking "Who is there?"
Delphine hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to reply.
